How to change models in CC2

Here's a guide that i made on how to change the models in this game

Things needed
  • Blender 2.8-3.0 program
  • Better FBX Importer & Exporter
  • Link: Add-on link[drive.google.com] (copy the link into google)
  • The game

How to install blender add-ons
  • download the add-on. You will get a zip file, do not unzip it!
  • Go to Blender’s user preferences. It’s in the edit menu.
  • Open the Add-ons tab
  • click Install at the top right
  • navigate to the downloaded zip file and select it
  • the add-on is then installed
  • check the box next to its name to enable it
Model
Importing
  1. Import the model you want to replace using the add-on
  2. Import your model
  3. copy the length of the base of the model you want to replace and do this formula: x/0.0254
  4. apply the scale
  5. change the scale to 0.0254
  6. insert keyframes for the scale
  7. change the rotation mode to quaternion
  8. insert keyframes for the rotation
  9. copy the transformation of the model you want to replace and paste it in your model
  10. insert keyframes for the transformation
  11. add the materials of the model you want to replace to your model
  12. remove the model you want to replace
  13. export the models using the add-on provided to your source folder in your mod folder using these settings:

Note on this guide. The .FBX models are in the modkit folder under the CC2 directory.

Tried replacing the small_plane.fbx with a random model to test the method but I can't seem to get it to work, could you go more in depth if possible? I feel like i'm misunderstanding heavily
