This guide was created to solve a common issue that most retarded server owners lack in knowledge. (The Error you get when you play single player, yet it just keeps creating more Damn ERRORS.)

How to fix that annoying ass error from that server you played on 4 days ago:

  1. Create a folder on your desktop, (Name it whatever you like.)
  2. Backup any files you deem important to YOU from Garry's mod into the folder from the previous step.
  3. Delete the "LUA" folder from /steam/steamapps/common/Garrysmod/garrysmod (This is VERY important.)
  4. Uninstall Garry's mod through your Steam library
  5. Wait 10 minutes for your PC to recognize the file changes (This step is crucial if you don't want corrupted data on your PC)
  6. Re-Install Garry's mod through your steam library
  7. Open Garry's mod and play either gm_construct (or gm_flatgrass)
  8. Your game is now safe for you to Re-download workshop items.
  9. Enjoy your Virus free game.
  10. DON'T EVER JOIN TTT SERVERS AGAIN!!!!


My frustration limit has exceeded, and I think I've had my fair share for digging in code to fix more ♥♥♥♥ for one day...

I'd also like to point out if you get things like,

"Pac3 has a (insert file type here) file referenced! Clamping!"

The errors will disappear over-time and are unavoidable at first, due to Steam attempting to recover LUA data after you re-install. However your game should run perfectly If you followed the steps in This guide .

@Spy149 I appreciate your honestest and this issue plagued me and other people I know games before...

It is a essentially a Virus really, as It logs your data, makes you vulnerable to backdoors and more, Especially on Servers.
