Shramplings
Shramplings are quite balanced as a faction - they have shielding melee units, rapid fire ranged units, sniper ranged units, and ranged tanks (gloptolisks). The thing that they most excel at is flanking player, as the melee units have a tendency to sneak up behind you while you're preoccupied, gloptolisks can dig underground and pop up anywhere, and the sniper units' slow yet powerful arrow projectiles can occasionally catch a player unaware. In order to fight them, it is necessary to be aware of where they're moving. Engaging at close range is quite effective as their attacks can be easily anticipated, but staying at long range can also be useful as their projectiles are very slow and have a short range, so in general try to stay out of mid range.
Empyriants
The Empyriants are a faction based strongly in pressuring the player. The pickaxe melee units rush you whilst the shielding melee units slowly encroach in. The ranged units fill the room with projectiles, as do the babies. When fighting Empyriants it is difficult to find time to shoot while dodging all the attacks, and Empyriant shield units seem to block much more often than other shielders, so try to hide behind walls and control when you engage them (but be wary as pickaxe units can break walls). Make sure to prioritize the babies, as they can be killed in a single stomp and can become quite annoying or even overwhelming.
Porkos
Porkos use projectiles and explosives to annihilate you with surgical precision when you're out in the open. Even a small group of porkos is very dangerous if not dealt with properly. Machinegun porkos are neigh-impossible to approach without taking damage while they're firing due to the sheer number of projectiles, so be sure to only rush in after they're finished, or flank behind. Rifle porkos are fairly weak when dealing with them directly, as their attack speed is slow and they have trouble hitting a moving target, but if you go into hiding for too long they will flush you out with grenades, which makes them very dangerous in combination with the other units. With sniper porkos, their shots are very difficult to dodge due to their speed, especially when you're preoccupied, so try to keep an eye out for their red lasers instead of trying to react to the bullets themselves. Shotgun porkos are the most dangerous, as they can do incredibly large amounts of damage with zero warning. Just try to minimize the amount of time you spend close to them as much as possible, and watch out when they dodge roll in. In general when fighting porkos it's important to abuse their low mobility to move to a more advantageous position.
Emeraldons
Emeraldons are quite simple with their attacks, although their shots have near-perfect accuracy, but they have one important gimmick - when they die, their emerald host will either perform a suicide attack on your location or spawn another emeraldon unit. They do have a weakness, however, which is that the ranged units die from a single stomp (melee units don't because they have a protected head). The emerald host also will be shattered when killed with a stomp. There is also a baby emeraldon echino unit which is highly mobile and has a laser beam attack. All of these factors culminate into one thing: the best tactic to fight them is to just keep moving. Never stop moving or you will die. Also, remember to dodge as soon as you kill one.
Nordunn Vikings
The vikings of nordunn are all about area denial. The axe units throw axes when stomped that explode into long-lasting icy damaging zones, and the same effect is created when they die and from lobbed graves. The elder unit also creates rune stones that protect enemies and create unmoving streams of bullets. Once you're boxed in, the melee units can easily run in and finish you off, with the kickers having fast and high damage attacks, and the axe units having a very long-lasting charge attack. The important thing is to try to avoid getting boxed in as such, and also try to deal with each enemy individually, as it tends to be easy to get them to split apart.
Bird things
Haven't fought them enough to know how to deal with them.
