Class-U Atomic Train - Command/SAR

To spawn the train, the addon must be loaded via the addon editor or enabled when starting a new game. The train can be found just east of Sawyer North Harbour.

A train addon featuring Class-U 2100N atomic locomotives and mixed carriages for SAR duties and limited container transport for additional income. Also with a second command carriage for commanding onboard and other compatible vehicles remotely.


Master power and radios is on by default, no need to turn on anything in the locomotives.

Go to command carriage A, the one in the middle of the train that controls the locomotives remotely, and familiarise yourself with the interior.

• Turn on the radios on the radio panel.
  
• Turn on the reactors and powerplants on the power panel.
  
• Flip the Auto-On switch, this will automatically switch on everything in the locomotives needed to drive the train.
  
• Set throttle percentage to 200 on the keypad, this is the percentage of throttle sent to carriage motors.

Now the locomotives will actually start up. Wait a minute or two for the reactors and boilers to heat up, generators will only start producing power once boiler pressure reach 0.25. Power output will settle at 2100.

• Select forward or reverse and push the set speed lever up to desired speed.
  
• When using the monitor, turn on multi-locomotive mode to switch to the secondary locomotive camera, you can then use the camera switch button to switch between locomotives.
  
• Turn on the track switch radio and press the track switch button to switch tracks.

The control stations in command carriage B can be used to operate compatible vehicles remotely.

• Turn on the air or sea radios (or both) on the radio panel.
  
• Toggle radio control on for air or sea (or both) to control vehicles remotely.

Radios will be tuned in to onboard vehicles by default. Use the keypads to set different frequencies for controlling other compatible vehicles.

Using the helicopter

• Toggle the helipad connectors off to detach it from the carriage, you can toggle the helipad connectors from inside the helicopter or command carriage B. You may also have to unfold the rotor blades if you folded them up before.

Using the boat

The boat deploys to the right so, make sure to stay on the correct side of the railway.

• Toggle the Keel Connectors off first.
  
• Press the Deploy Boat button. The Boat Deployed indicator will light up when the boat crane is in the deployed position.
  
• Toggle the Crane Top Connectors off.
  
• Winch down and toggle the Boat Connectors off to release the boat.
  
• To dock again, simply reverse the process.

The boat crane can be operated from inside the boat, the command carriage or the boat carriage itself.

When the dead man's switch is turned on, there may be moments when the player sensors don't detect the player properly, causing the train to apply brakes for a split second. This depends on both the speed of the train and PC performance.
