No Strategic Threat Diplomatic Penalty

Description
The "Great Power" diplomatic penalty is back in WH3, now renamed to "Strategic Threat". This mod simply sets all scales of the penalty to zero.

Note that there is supposedly a diplomatic buff available from some AI factions for being a strategic threat, but I have never seen it myself. That has also been removed as well. Consider it a concession to balance.

My other diplomacy mod that you may be interested in - No Diplomatic Penalty for "Too Many Trade Partners".

For users on other platforms, you can download the mod here - https://github.com/DrDCB/TWWH3_No_Strategic_Threat_Diplomatic_Penalty/releases

If you want to help me out, consider gifting me one of the DLCs I still don't have or send me a Steam gift card - https://steamhost.cn/wishlist/id/DrDCB/#sort=order

N.B.: The mod will be updated when it is required. Unless it is verifiably broken, kindly refrain from asking about updates just because the launcher has a coloured icon in it. Any inane BS comments of the ilk "pls update" will be summarily deleted. Given the way this works, the mod is highly unlikely to ever actually need an update.

It doesn't need an update. The relevant table values literally haven't changed since launch. The mod doesn't edit any UI-related stuff, it just sets the underlying diplomatic penalty values to zero.

This mod is currently not working with v6.2.1 and seems to need an update. I have re-downloaded the mod via subscribing and unsubscribing a few times, and even unsubscribed from all other mods to make sure nothing interferes, but the strategic threat is still present in the diplomacy overview.

@csoran: Nothing happened as far as the mod is concerned. The relevant table entries that the mod edits haven't changed. Whether CA changed something in the AI that affects how it factors in to larger calculations I couldn't tell you. But it's not anything this mod can/will address.

This mod worked great for me for about two years, but not anymore with the latest update from CA. Now I get to 6 provinces with Mannfred and now I'm getting declarations of war from everyone - even two factions away (geographically-speaking). I wonder what happened.

yeah the penalty is reversed for tomb kings due to their "Power is everything" faction trait

that buff is only from tomb kings if im not mistaken

I tried the modification for the first time. The idea is interesting, but the mod is not balanced.

For example, with this mod I had a situation when I was fighting with The Maggot Host faction for Malachi, but diplomatic relations with it were improving.

Without the mod, everything is correct - stable deterioration.

It's not a new concept. It has been around in its current form since Rome II (and possibly in a different form in the earlier games as well). Under the hood it's called CAI_VARIABLE_IMPERIUM_ATTITUDE.

Completly stupid concept to have (But its CA, i understand those guy arn't finished) ... Why would ANYONE refuse a non-agression pact from a great power ? Especially a neighbouring one.

Its not a threat if they are the ones saying : "Well, we don't want to fight you, how about we officialise it ?"

Diplomacy 101. Anyway, i guess having a realistic game isn't fun :s

Thanks for the mod my dude, really needed that.
