My game won't run and or keeps crashing on launch!
Make sure your game is all up to date. Try verify your game files by right clicking on Super Meat Boy: Forever, go to properties then Local Files then click Verify Game Files, if it doesn't work then try re-install the game.
A message pops up saying VCOMP120.DLL is missing!
VCOMP120.DLL is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013. This is a free download from Microsoft that you can get here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Once you've installed this, launch the game and it should fix it!
I recently got a new laptop and it's still not working
(This method listed is for laptops only)
Newer laptops usually have two GPUs in them, one is an integrated one (Intel Graphics, etc) that's better for battery life and the other is NVidia or AMD which is better for gaming. Super Meat Boy Forever is going to need to use the NVidia or AMD GPU in order to run properly. Below are two links that can help you accomplish this.

AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-017

NVidia: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5035/kw/Manage%203D%20Settings
The game says it can't create a Pixel Shader, a Texture or Index Buffer
This means you don't have the right graphics card to run the game, you can try updating your card to the latest version to see if it works.
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Assertion Failed!
Full error is

"Assertion Failed!

Expression: "Could not find file" && FALSE

For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts

(Press Retry to debug the application - JIT must be enabled"

To fix this error you'll need to -

Go to Documents/My games/SuperMeatboyForever folder and delete it, you create a new folder instead called "Super Meat Boy Forever" then verify your game cache so steam reinstalls all the files

The error should be gone after doing so!
My game has no sound!
Update your graphics card aswell as verifying your game files and the volume should be updated back in, If still nothing then try re-install the game. Try replug in your speakers too just to be safe.
I am having FPS (Frames Per Second) issues
If you have an AMD Graphics Card, F11 is the default command for "Radeon Chill" which locks the FPS to whichever you've set it to in the options but default should be 60. Pressing that while ingame should fix any framerate issue. If you don't have and AMD Card or that doesn't work, try -

1. Ingame, go to Settings > Graphics then you should see "Anti-Aliasing" try lowering it aswell as your Resolution to see if it works, if not then try the next step listed here.
2.Enabling V Sync through your video card options.
3.Updating your graphics card to the latest version in your video card options.
4.Using software such as MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner to lock the game at 60 FPS can work.
Will my Epic Games Save File go to Steam?
(This also works for any version, as long as you have a SMB:F save file then Steam will automatically detect it)

Yes, your Epic Games Save File Automatically goes to Steam as soon as you launch the game, just make sure you have Epic Games Store installed so the files are there and are able go to the Steam version. This is all done automatically so don't worry about anything as your entire file will go to your Steam version.

You'll know it works if you start getting steam achievements for stuff you've done on any of the save files.
Where are the Save Files located?
Save Files are located in:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > Your Name > Documents > My Games > Super Meat Boy:Forever > Save

(Local Disk can also be (E:) it all depends on which one you chose to download it in)

The saves are related to how you saved ingame that being:
SAVESLOT0 - Top
SAVESLOT1 - Middle
SAVESLOT2 - Bottom

None of this seems to be working / my issue isn't listed
If none of this helps and or your issue isn't listed, i highly recommend sending an email to support@supermeatboy.com

This is Team Meats support email where they should get back to you ASAP, though be sure to be very descriptive in your email so let them know -

How the error happened (What did you do to cause the error, was it launching the game and that's it or did you do more stuff before it?)
When the error happened (Did you just recently buy the game and the error happened or has it happened before?)
Any previous errors (I had this error that got fixed but recently "this" error happened right after)
PC specs (If you're using a PC, laptop etc and if so what are your specs)

Etc, just be sure to let them know everything you feel they should know so they can easily identify the error and be able to help ASAP. But please know if you're close to the 2 hour refund deadline then it might be best to just refund it at that point but if you're really dedicated to continuing or really want to finish it that badly then it's best you don't refund and stick with the support email.
Conclusion
This guide was dedicated to helping any and all PC/Laptop users fix their game so they can fully enjoy what Super Meat Boy: Forever has to offer. If your issue is not listed then feel free to put it in the comments and either myself or others will respond to it.

If you'd like to contribute to this guide, feel free to contact me with the issue + solution and i'll be more than happy to add you to the credits. Thank you.

Hello.

It's completely normal for your Epic Games save file to transfer to Steam and i believe vice versa. If you mean you got all achievements except that one then try start a new save file and use that to farm the achievement as it's possible it just missed that one out. Since the game has 2 achievements, 1 being ingame and another being Steam both are the same as each other so starting a new save file will restart the achievements.

All achievements you earn through Steam though will stay permanently so don't worry, it'll just restart the ingame achievements so when you earn it ingame it should trigger the Steam version to also appear.

This fix applies to any game, even the original Super Meat Boy so i believe it will work but if it doesn't just let me know!

Yeah hello I started playing super meat boy Forever. I had some kind of glitch in the steam achievements while transferring my epic games save file to steam. It's only 1 achievement and it's punch drunk although I killed about 11000 till now. How do i fix this?

Anything related to lag, look at "I am having FPS (Frames Per Second) issues". I had the same issue and still do, however i enable Radeon Chill due to having an AMD Card and that fixs the lag completely until i leave the game.
