First thing's first is to download a software called Leatrix Latency Fix [www.leatrix.com]

First of all, no, this is not a virus. Leatrix Latency Fix is an old software WoW players use to improve latency in their game.

It basically edits your registries to disable Nagle's Algorithm, although it will only improve latency for games that use TCP networks which is what TF2 uses.

If you're still shady about this you can make a back-up of your registries and revert to that version when you don't like the modification, or you can use the built-in remove button in the software itself
