What makes this guide so special?
The sections educate on how to power level any character after understanding how the experience system works. The best candidates are those who fight all the bosses that need all the experience like Kari.

Note: The guides below elaborate on the many intricate mechanics required to excel in the game.

Why are you writing this guide?
I enjoy helping others by writing about technical topics to a higher standard and provide key findings for a higher chance of success!

Who is the intended audience?
The guide is for everyone, but much friendlier to new players. Everything will be explained to be on the same level as those who are the most experienced. The writing will be easy to follow with plenty of screenshots for those who are too lazy to read everything!
How Experience System Works
Each character levels up differently due to their expertise, intelligence, and any XP modifiers.

Experience is only given after completely filling the current XP bar of that category.
Stats that can no longer be leveled will display "Max" next to the bar progress.

Note: Battles do not need fill any bar and gives immediate XP.
Avoiding Fate's Curse
Every level up gives the option of selecting one of the five random traits or re-roll each time with a stacking XP penalty. To avoid this, simply quit the game without saving and try again until obtaining the desirable trait.
Power Level Traits
Every other character besides Eirik have the option to power level with the first 4 starting traits in two double copies of Talented and General XP for power leveling.
Talented gives 33 % experience boost with slight penalty.
General XP has no penalties and has same benefit as Blessed trait.

The Blessed trait is obtained from Strange Lights, and works just like General XP.
Planning Power Leveling Day
The optimal weather is a Sunny day to avoid any additional fatigue and depression increases. The only two events that give endless experience are Wild Sheep and Abandoned Boat. Kola potions are the best to use when doing both events on the same day.

Both conditions must be met for the power leveling to work:
1. Fatigue and Depression are not at dangerous levels.
2. Not have maxed out the base of the relevant attribute (constitution/wisdom).
Getting Drunk
To get started, the character needs to use Beer or Meade to have a 25% chance of getting drunk. The benefit lasts for one day and considerably reduces fatigue and depression increases. The buffs have diminishing benefits with other traits.

Having Enough Medicine
A decent stockpile of medicine is needed beforehand that can heal at least 50 points of either fatigue and/or depression. The character will be able to abuse the power leveing event(s) until there is no more medicine to use.

Once the abandoned boat is found, unlimited medical plants can be obtained to produce endless powders. The restriction to craft higher tier medicine like ointments is removed and powders can be used directly.
Wild Sheep
The failed sheep catches give unlimited constitution experience at the expense of fatigue.

The power-leveing event should be delayed until Week 5 when fatigue is more manageable. A rule of thumb is to match the fatigue damage with the daily recovery range to avoid disrupting work performance on the next day.

Note: Characters with higher constitution need fatigue levels to be at least 50+ to have an easier failed check.
Abandoned Boat
The location is somewhere beyond Bjorn's camp and is a lake rune event, marked with golden M. After "Honoring the Dead" option is unlocked, it now gives wisdom experience at the cost of depression. The funeral must not be finished to keep the event available.
Kari can level up much faster with Gi Training (+100% to Wisdom XP gains) from Tomoe. Cisse has the best depression resistance while Kari has the second best with event traits.

Note: Drunk trait is optional to use for lower depression gains but also lowers overall XP gain.
Kari the Boss Slayer
Her combat prowess knows no bounds and can make quick work of all enemies.

She is the big hero who will be slaying all the bosses with her passive double critical bonus!

The last boss will not stand a chance after leveling that much!

To maximize power leveling from Abandoned Boat event, she must avoid everything that increases her wisdom like items or examining runes.
Kari: Trait Order
She has the highest DPS and will be destroying almost every enemy in the first turn. She still has to pick XP boosters early on to benefit the most in the long run.

Please refer to the Advanced Viking Warfare guide for her combat traits.
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2905846409
The order of her traits:
1-4. 2x General XP +25% & 2x Talented
5. 1x Scavenging + 10
6+. All Approved Combat Traits until end of game.
Kari: Strength
The Scratched Rocks have three attempts and needs many failed checks for the first rock layer only to gain as much strength experience. If not the last attempt, she needs to not mine the final layer to avoid finishing the event.
Sea Serpent bones has an option to take the hammer for +1 strength.
The Colossal Ox gives an additional +5 Strength after successfully lifting it.
Several Scrolls gives has one option that permanently grants +5 Strength.

The Giant Hammer should be saved for very last because strength will be maxed out with "Strength Master" trait (+20 Strength).
Kari: Constitution
The Wild Sheep must max the constitution before the "Burnt Wild Humanoid" event for additional experience levels. The reward for the latter is "Constitution Master" (+20 Constitution), which will stop all XP gain from the Wild Sheep event.
Kari: Intelligence
Such parameter can never be raised unless doing certain rare events or trait selection.

The blue shimmers of the salt marsh does provide some boost, along with the Greedy trait during the 4th visit with Freyja.
Kari: Agility
Exploration naturally develops her agility and the final mastery trait is obtained from the wild horse event.
Passing Thor's Tests
Once the Muscular Blue Warrior is found, Thor has a series of tests that only has one chance to pass them for additional permanent combat traits and other buffs.

Note: Such test is recommended when the challenger is almost at 100 stats because the reward will max out its stat.
Projected Timeline
Kari can power level even faster after the 5th week with multiple XP boosting traits.
Around Day 40, Eirik will retire from the Workshop and work at the Forge to make mostly powders.
They will be used to do more power-leveling events on Sunny days.
Progress will be slower once the power leveling events max out on either of the Wisdom and Constitution.
The Abandoned Boat will level Kari up to 29 on top of her normal duties.
The character can no longer gain XP from them afterwards and have to rely on others.
Epilogue
Kari will eventually run out of combat traits to select from after reaching level 30. She will begin choosing the unapproved, stand-alone traits like accuracy, dodge, and critical hits.

The rest of the combat survivors will follow suit with Kari's build until they have reached their maximum.
