Monsters rank up when being in "combat state" for a while. They don't need to kill anything, just be battling. Some monsters are easier to rank up than others.

According to the game developer in the above discussion, these are the requirements to fill out the bestiary.
  • Slay 5: First Paragraph
  • Resurrect 5: Second Paragraph
  • Max Rank 5: Third Paragraph
*Note: The third paragraph does not unlock even if you train an max out the rank of the monster if you have not met the requirements for the first two paragraphs.

This portion will list the monsters you will see throughout the dungeon, their base stat/attributes, and where to find them.

As the developer states, the monsters will rank up through being in a combative state for an extended period of time.

I'm not sure if the times are the same for each monster but I have timed each rank up requirement.

  • Rank 1 (No Star)
  • Rank 2 (Bronze) - 30-31 seconds
  • Rank 3 (Silver) - 1 minute(s) 6-7 seconds
  • Rank 4 (Gold) - 1 minute(s) 43-44 seconds
  • Rank 5 (Platinum) - 2 minute(s) 20-21 seconds

Health: 3
Attack: 2
Defense: 0
Attributes: None
Floors: 1-5

Training Method:
Place your Slaaim on a small platform with a Harvescalp on another small platform. When doing this the Harvescalp will keep distance while your Slaaim will be going towards it and be unable to use it's ranged attack. This will keep it in a constant combat state.

Health: 2 Attack: 2 Defense: 1 Attributes: None Floors: 1-5 Training Method: Use a shield that has the Magic Shell and Strong Shield attributes. Summon your Fleye slightly off center from a Slaaim and it will use its straight dash attack towards the Slaaim and miss while the Slaaim will either be aiming at you or your Fleye. Use the shield for blocking the Slaaim's attacks and hope that it doesn't attack your Fleye. If you are lucky your Fleye's attacks will dodge the Slaaim's attacks and not hurt the Slaaim keeping it in a constant combat state..

Health: 4 Attack: 3 Defense: 1 Attributes: None Floors: 1-5 Training Method: Find a Restorebbit on a decent sized platform and summon your Scholoak. Your Scholoak should constantly shoot at it while the Restorebbit runs away.

Health: 5 Attack: 4 Defense: 3 Attributes: None Floors: 1-4 Training Method: Find a platform with a Dollahan on it and summon yours. They will be put into a state where they have their shield up the entire time. *Note: While this is happening, if you have a Restorebbit you need to level you can summon that as well. Just make sure the Dollahan doesn't target your Restorebbit or your Restorebbbit doesn't kill itself by healing others.

Health: 6 Attack: 2 Defense: 2 Attributes: None Floors: 1-4 Training Method: Find a small platform with a Harvescalp on it. Summon yours across a gap from it and they will try kill each other by shooting web balls. If the balls hit they will do damage, if they step on the web it does no damage. It will be very rare that they are actually able to hit each other. If you are unlucky go to the altar and retry.

Health: 6 Attack: 0 Defense: 1 Attributes: Fire Weakness Dark Resistance Floors: 1-3 Training Method: Find a platform with a Restorebbit on it and summond your Champimbomb. The Restorebbit will run away constantly while your Champimbomb will keep trying to kill it. If that doesn't work for you you can find a Slaaim on a platform and on another platform summon your Champimbomb. These will both achieve the same results.

Health: 4 Attack: 0 Defense: 3 Attributes: Dark Resistance Light Resistance Status Prevention Floors: 1-3 Training Method: Find a small platform with a Restorebbit on it and summon yours. This will cause them both to run away from each other with nowhere to go and yours will level up.

Health: 3 Attack: 3 Defense: 2 Attributes: Status Prevention Floors: 3-5 Training Method: There wasn't really any fast way for me to do this... I had to un-summon and re-summon Skeletant for every battle until it leveled up. *Note: Skeletant can still revive after it dies however, will lose it's rank and start over from 1.

Health: 6 Attack: 4 Defense: 1 Attributes: None Floors: 4 Training Method: Find a Skeletant across a gap and summon Heelion near a wall then stand in between them to have Heelion continue moving towards the wall and be unable to get to the Skeletant. This will keep Heelion in a combat state.

Health: 3 Attack: 4 Defense: 2 Attributes: Root 10% Floors: 4-5 Training Method Place your Tai'ak on a small platform with a Harvescalp on another small platform. When doing this the Harvescalp will keep distance while your Tai'ak will be going towards it and be unable to use it's attack. This will keep it in a constant combat state.

Bestiary 2
Health: 8 Attack: 0 Defense: 0 Attributes: None Floors: 3-5 Training Method: Find a platform with a Slaaim and summon Trolks on another platform. If Trolks is close enough it will bang on it's drum to attract the Slaaim's attention and will be in a constant combat state.

Health: 8 Attack: 5 Defense: 0 Attributes: Fire Weakness Floors: 2-5 Training Method: Use a shield that has the Magic Shell and Strong Shield attributes. Use the shield while standing between your Whispike and a Slaaim so that you can block the Slaaim's attacks on you. If you are lucky and able to have the Whispike attack the Slaaim while being a little off you can just hold that position until your Whispike is fully ranked up.

Health: Attack: Defense: Attributes: Floors: 4 Training Method: Find a Dollahan on a platform and summon your Mimigate across from it. The Mimigate should keep trying to suck the Dollahan across but should be unsuccessful. *Note: It is possible for Mimigate to suck Dollahan across the gap. If this happens resummon Mimigate on the opposite side and do the same thing.

Health: 10 Attack: 4 Defense: 2 Attributes: Floors: 4-5 Training Method: Find a Tai'ak across a gap and summon Sprinsioner. Then stand in between Sprinsioner and Tai'ak until he can is stuck moving onto one side. This will keep Sprinsioner in a combat state.

Health: Attack: Defense: Attributes: Floors:

Health: 4 Attack: 8 Defense: 3 Attributes: None Floors: 4-5 Training Method: Find a gap and with a Dollahan across then summon your Pobawa. If you are lucky it will constantly shot its magic in the gap while not hurting the Dollahan.

Health: 8 Attack: 2 Defense: 3 Attributes: None Floors: 3-5 Training Method: Find a gap and with a Dollahan across then summon your Buffary. It will constantly buff nothing while in a combat state.

Health: Attack: Defense: Attributes: Floors: 4-5 Training Method: There wasn't really any fast way for me to do this... I had to un-summon and re-summon Impcher for every battle until it leveled up. *Note: Unsummoning and resummoning will remove all status ailments from your summon.

Health: 6 Attack: 5 Defense: 3 Attributes: Random 1-4 Floors: 5 Training Method: Find a Dollahan across a gap and summon your Crawlumbra across from it. It will constantly be moving towards the Dollahan until it has fully ranked up.

Health: 8 Attack: 4 Defense: 2 Attributes: Random 1-4 Floors: 5 Training Method: Find a Tai'ak across a gap and summon Skullcrusher. This will keep Skullcrusher in a combat state.
