Description
*Please consult the Known Issues and QA sections before commenting, thanks.*

This mod adds the following units for all of the major Greenskin factions, respectively:
-Black Guard (Swords & Shields)
-Black Guard (Spears & Shields)
-Black Guard (Dual Weapons)
-Black Guard (Great Weapons)
-Black Guard (Bows)

They are all available through the Greenskins' main Barracks building chain.
They are a slightly stronger version of Black Orcs with officers and darker colours.

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*BALANCE*

They are stronger if compared to vanilla Black Orcs but all in all, they should still be vanilla friendly.
NOTICE: The units' stats screenshot was taken with the unit size setting set to large, so expect more HP and unit models if you are playing on Ultra.

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess too much with vanilla units.
I'm playing the game with 100+ different mods and everything is working fine!
The mod is NOT save compatible.
If you want the Black Guard in your campaign you'll have to start a new one.

*KNOWN ISSUES*
-Minor clipping

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif


...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

As a matter of fact I'm officially retired from SFO/Overhaul related mods.

apologies, the emotionlessness nature of text can make certain tones be perceived. That's my fault for perceiving as such.

I'm used to "Unbreakable" normally being displayed as one of the unit features (green/red text). Still learning the ins and outs of this game.

I'm not using any particular tone here, just replying to You that's all.
Anyway: the unbreakable icon can be seen in the unit stats screenshots (screen 8, 14, 18 and 23).
Sorry if It wasn't more clear, I'll make sure to post unit traits and abilities in dedicated sections next time.

I thought it was a glitch as that feature of being unbreakable wasn't listed anywhere. Not on the mod page, not on the unit description, nowhere. That's all. No need for that tone.

There Is no "Bug" nor nothing to "fix".
I wanted stronger Black Orcs with unbreakable since from the start so I gave It to them.
This mod has been up for a while now and has also been integrated in both of my current compilations, so anything featured in this mod should be considered final.
My work on this workshop Is (aside from my upcoming last compilation) officially over.
Any balance/visual/rework update will be applied for the game 3 ports.
But regarding this one I can already tell you that I will keep Unbreakable in game 3 too.
I might slightly town down the stats for the port but since your main problem Is "Black Orcs with unbreakable" You might just want to unsub and forget about this mod at this point.

Please fix, they're already strong enough as is (especially since Black Guard Great Weapons are essentially just completely upgraded black orcs), even moreso with Singe's skills for grimgor. It makes going up against them become a slog where you know you're going to loose copious amounts of units simply because there's several unbreakable high-tier units.

I enjoy having them myself when i play Grimgor, but I guess I never noticed the zero leadership loss until now. Still love the mod regardless.

Hey, I know you said you were moving on to Warhammer 3 modding but there seems to be a pretty big bug right now with Black Guard: They're unbreakable.

It's been a pretty big issue in both campaigns and in custom battle. Tested, even against 10+ Rank 9 Gargantulzans (from another mod, carnosaurs work the same, so tested with vanilla mobs), Black Guard just DON'T loose leadership, making them effectively unbreakable. This makes them OBNOXIOUS to deal with in any campaign, especially because the AI likes to enjoy spamming them within armies.
