How to
Steam Workshop gives us a great feature: every time our beloved mods get a fix or an update, it automatically applies that update!
But this feature brings a disadvantage too… every time our beloved mods get a fix or an update, it automatically applies that update, and our campaigns are over! Ahahah

Fortunately, it’s really easy to avoid this problem in Rome Remastered: you can simply create a local copy of the mod you have subscribed.

1) Go to workshop folder on your hard disc.
It is usually under your Steam main directory path:
C: (or D, E… where you have installed the game) \ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\workshop

2) Here, there is a folder named content; this contains all mods for all games which you have installed on that disk; for Rome Remastered, you must look for 885970 folder:

3) In my example, I want to preserve a copy of Chivalry: the whole mod is contained into the 2672689065 folder, as you can see in following picture:

Each folder is a different mod, and its numerical code is the same present in its URL when you visit its Steam Workshop page.

4) Copy the whole folder of the mod you want to keep with ctrl+c or via mouse.

5) Next step requires to look for a folder which is hidden by default, AppData, so you need to make them visible before going on:

6) Follow this path:
AppData--->Local--->Feral Interactive
--->Total War Rome Remastered--->Mods

7) Here you have two options: you can save your copy into Local Mods or into My Mods.
My Mods is usually used for storage of mods you are making, before uploading them to the Workshop. I don’t remember if even Local Mods have the option to be uploaded from the Mod manager… Anyway, simply choose one of them.

8) Into the folder you have chosen, paste the copy you did at step 4 ! In my case, Chivalry!

9) Now you can start Rome Remastered and see the folder you have just created among your mods list:

Just to be sure all work as intended, you could click on Regenerate Manifest.
Once process is complete, select your copy from the list and start the game!
