Characters and Timeline
Our story begins after the 7-hour war. Enough time for the combine to produce the overwatch transhuman arm but enough time for aperture to remain in decent condition. Our protagonist is Genry Freedom, the son of an aperture scientist who was high ranking in the company. Genry is also a scientist working for aperture.

Together, they were working on a portal to travel to other dimensions where it was theorized that Genry's Mother, who died before or during the war from an unknown cause, is alive in another dimension and Genry's father works tirelessly to find a way to travel there. Even at the cost of other people's lives.

In the notes scattered throughout the first chapter, Genry claims he "personally" killed 20 people as a method to explore the effects of entanglement and the side effects of teleportation. These people that were killed are like the D-class of the SCP universe, disposable and expendable by a secret organization. Aperture may have used undesirables or even their own employees to discover the effects of dimension travel.

There are no other characters within the rest of the storyline. Except for a strange voice at the ending of chapter 2. Whispering to Genry to "play with them"

We'll get back to the voice later.

Chapter One
Genry wakes up in a cabin, with no memory of how he got there. This is likely due to him travelling through the portal he developed as one of the side effects in the notes says travelling causes amnesia.

He finds an elevator and, in half life fashion, crashes into where chapter one kicks off.
Genry traverses Aperture labs where zombies and the combine patrol the halls. The reason why the combine is here is unclear, yet metro cops are seen with overwatch. It is likely that civil protection responded to a call and it dominoes into discovering the abandoned lab, causing overwatch to take over.

Genry eventually finds the portal His father and he worked on. After turning on the power, he steps into the portal and travels the multiverse.

Genry arrives in an infested car lot, Egypt (a reference to Dust from counter-strike), a zombie-infested town. This town is likely not Ravenholm due to the combine's presence yet the combine are in almost every reality Genry travels to. It is unknown if the combine are invading these worlds, or already exist within them before Genry arrived.
The last place Genry arrives is a tomb. Where he must solve puzzles and avoid traps. Before he could escape, however, he is teleported back to aperture labs.
Chapter 2

After barely escaping a gas chamber, Genry is back in Aperture Labs but something is... off... The zombies are still around but no combine, After wandering around, a tremor shakes the facility and a barricade of bookshelves rams into Genry. After climbing over the barricade gas starts to fill the air, bookshelves move on their own and zombies attack Genry.
It is unknown if Genry was in a nightmare, supernatural forces or reality breaking apart around him because of his frequent dimension-hopping. Regardless, Genry escapes and manages to teleport into the backrooms a liminal space in aperture labs. Where Genry hears a voice asking to play.

This voice is unknown. it could either be a voice in Genry's head, the spirit of either parent or something far more sinister. Yet the voice is harmless and after walking into a fake door, a text reads that "we had fun" and "hope to see you again soon" Which launches us into...
Chapter 3
Genry travels to an old village with WWII equipment and aesthetics. It is unclear if Genry time travelled or simply went to another reality. But one thing is for certain, the combine is here.

After slaughtering the entire regiment, he is then teleported to a sewer infested with combine scum.

Genry finds a truck but before he can get it started he is teleported to.... wait what?
Alright, I nearly gave up here but I went through it... Genry teleports to the opening level of Persona 5 and fights through the combine protecting the casino. As I said before, either the combine already exists in this universe or they are invading other dimensions. Regardless Genry butchers the guards and escapes the same way Joker did. But before he could get arrested by the entire Tokyo police department (if they still exist in this reality) he is teleported next to a depot.

wow, this looks... normal was the last thing he said before disaster, as metro cops open fire. The duo at the beginning could be a reference to "civil protection" by accursed farms or it's just two metro cops. Genry takes an air boat mounted with a machine gun and takes off. After defeating a hunter chopper AND gunship. Genry finds the corpse of his father. Causing Genry to break down before he is teleported back to aperture for one final test.
All Endings.
Genry is back where he started, with his Father dead and nothing left to lose, he must make a choice. Three in fact. (if I'm not missing a secret ending. If I am please let me know in the comments.) ranging from good, neutral and evil.

He must either...

A. Make a deal with the combine and give them his teleporter in exchange for power and safety. (evil)
B. Destroy the teleporter so that neither the rebels or the combine can use it as it is too dangerous for both parties. (good)
C. Simply walk away. (neutral)

The canonical ending (although not confirmed) is most likely ending B, where the teleporter is destroyed. Requiem for science is likely a prequel to Genry's great escape. A mediocre yet passionate project by this mod's creator. As the ending features Genry's car in Genry's great escape. And he is not dead, nor a collaborator in the Great escape mod.
Conclusion

Thank you all for reading this guide. If I missed something please let me know in the comments. This mod was a mixed bag but a very interesting world set-up. I am a fan of mods that allow you to explore aperture science or dimension hop between worlds.

Holy shit. This guide looks like you actually tried to make it good. Do you happen to be an undercover developer for the game?
