Introduction
Far too often have people who have been playing this game for a while before it was released on Steam have seen players who have no idea what they are doing. I'm here to fix this problem.
Getting Started
Ok, so, you have probably been on a server with at least one person named "NeotokyoNoob" or you yourself are called that. Well, to fix the latter, first you go to options, then the first tab will allow you to change your name. Click inside the box with your name and change it to whatever you want.
Done? Good. Now to learn the controlls.

By default you move with the traditional WASD layout. Again, by default, lean is Q for left and E for right. X is your weapons special, or ALT fire, but at the moment, only two guns have an ALT fire: The MUTRA SUPA shotgun, and the Assault class's sidearm. F is use, which you press to pick up the ghost, press buttons, etc., C is your Thermo-optic camo, (which you can use as Recon or Assault) that makes you translucent, and finally, V, which activates your type of vision. For Recon, it's night vision, Assault has movement vision and Support has Thermal vision. Also, B T and Y are chat buttons. B for voice chat, T for team chat and Y for server chat (every player can read this unless you are dead, in which case, only dead players can hear any type of chat).
Classes
In NEOTOKYO, there are three classes:

RECON
PROS: Fast, 12 second camo, infinite sprint (unless you sprint-jump)
CONS: Low armour, few starting weapons
ASSAULT
PROS: Moderate armour, 100 points of sprint, six starting weapons
CONS: Slightly slow
SUPPORT
PROS: Heavy Armour, two smoke grenades
CONS: Slow, No camo, No sprint

While the support class has more cons than pros, it does not make it an inferior class. The classes depend on how well you play with the classes. You can utilize the pros to make the cons far from a problem.
The Game
Now to the good stuff. When you start on a new server, it will ask you to choose a team, you can choose NSF, JINRAI, Auto-Assign, or spectate. Assuming you have selected one of the first three, you will be prompted to select a class, click one of the tabs to choose your class, then select a player model. The models will not affect your gameplay, so it doesn't matter what model you select. After that, choose a primary weapon, at the begining you will have a very limited number of weapons to pick, but as you gain ranks, you will have more options.
"But, Hex! How do I gain ranks?" I hear you say.
Well, I'm glad you asked, Strawman! You can gain ranks by (In order from least XP gain to most):

Surviving the round.
Killing enemies.
Helping Capture the Ghost.
Capturing the Ghost.

You can also lose ranks by Killing yourself or a team mate
Speaking of Ghost, it's time to talk about it. The Ghost is what the NSF and JINRAI are fighting over for some reason. To pick it up, press use or drop weapon with your primary out and it will attatch to your back. Then, if you hold the Ghost in your hands and wait 2-3 seconds, you can see nearby opponents. Use this to your advantage. Tell your team where they are from your position and use the compass to tell in what direction they are at.

Now we talk about the final moments of each round. A round can end in one of three ways:
A team winning by eliminating all enemy players
A team winning by capturing the Ghost
A draw

To capture the Ghost, the player carrying the Ghost must get it to one of their capture zones, marked by an arrow (Green for JINRAI, Blue for NSF, Red for enemy team)
IMPORTANT NOTES AND HINTS
-When you reload, every bullet in that magazine is gone forever.
-When you pick up a weapon that uses the same type of ammo (You can tell by the picture of the bullet in your GUI), you get some ammo. Thanks game!
- "You can win a round by numbers in case of a timeout too." -Rain
You will get one poin if your team wins and you're dead, and two for winning and you're alive (unless you're alive during ghost cap, of course).
-As a Recon, I suggest a hit-and-run methood of fighting. Give a few shots, then run.
Have Fun!
I hope this guide helped you out alot. If there is something you think is missing, feel free to tell me.

I feel like it's really hard to jump around and kill/own everyone as recon

any plans to add some text about the starting guns? From wha I remember the game doesn't really do a good job detailing the pro and cons for the guns at all.
