Introduction
Hey, are your Workbenches too small, are they too limiting for your limitless creations? Well good thing you found this post, because I will teach you how to make every one of your Workbenches absolutely huge!
Installing StormLoader
StormLoader is a PC software utilities that manage the plugins of your mods in order to get the best experience out of playing with Stormworks: Build and Rescue.

Disclaimer before you start
StormLoader and mods loaded with StormLoader are not affiliated with Stormworks, or Sunfire Software LTD in any way. We claim no rights or ownership in any way to any file formats or folder structures used in mods and/or mod packages other than where a packaging format has been designed specifically for the operation of the mod loader. FAQ
Q What platforms are supported?
A StormLoader only runs on windows, but there is a version of this mod that runs on all platforms.

Q What prerequisites do I need?
A None, other than the latest .net framework, which is pre-installed on Windows.

Q Are mods officially supported by the Stormworks development team?
A While I cannot provide a definitive answer to this, the current stance is that there is no official stance, I have had no contact from the developers. I can confidently say that this is a no, the Developers seem to be against modding.

How to install StormLoader
Go to https://github.com/Lewinator56/StormLoader and on the right side you should see this:
Once you are there, click the latest version of StormLoader available, currently it is 1.0.12, then click on StormLoader.v?.?.??.zip and download it.
Extract the ZIP folder to any directory of your choosing, if you wish, right click on "StormLoader.exe" and hover over "Send to" then click Desktop

How to use StormLoader
When you first run StormLoader, you will be prompted to enter the game location and mod extraction location, your game location is generally C:\Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Stormworks, you can leave the extraction location blank. After this, you will see the "Main Screen' where you can install mods, and enable or disable them.

Loading a Mod Package
Click the "Add" button in the top left corner and click "Browse Repo" to download and install any available mod, to Activate or Deactivate a mod, click the grey checkmark on the right of the mod you want to enable, to disable, click the grey cross instead.

Installing my Workbench Mod
Click the "Browse Online" button in the top left corner and click "Browse Repo", then scroll until you find "The Modpack" The Author should be The Modpack (A group of people including me) then click "Get" near the bottom right of that tile.

I also recommend these fantastic mods
  • Toastery's Modified Sounds by Toastery
  • Thales Aviation Parts and Block Overhaul by Thales
  • ilp0tt1s Decoration Mod by ilp0tt1
  • Ship Pack by zuiquan1
  • Smaller Parts And Stuffs by Nika, Mr B
Uninstalling my Workbench Mod
To uninstall my (or any) mod, click the grey cross on the tile in StormLoader, if you go in your game you will see that all the islands are missing or broken, you have to verify integrity game files to fix this, make sure you do this step because it will always break the islands.
Verify Integrity of Game Files
Right click on Stormworks in your steam library
From the drop down menu, select Properties
Select the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files button
Steam will verify the game's files, but this process may take several minutes
The End

I had that bug about a month ago. Try deleting your game files manually and verifying integrity through steam, then get the mod after playing the game once.

@yokaofbaba There isn't an apple supported version for Stormloader, you'd have to get the files manually which I don't currently have available anywhere except on Github under "The Modpack"

Try looking again, its hard to notice but turn on file extensions in file explorer. If you don't see it, you've downloaded from the wrong menu, make sure you got it from releases on the stormloader page.

@crkcoffey I can confirm myself that the mod works, which means you may be doing something wrong along the way on your end. Try following the steps closely and if you still think it doesn't work, come find me on the Stormworks Modding Forum.

@yokaofbaba Yes, in fact theres a newer version called The Modpack and its available via raw code on GitHub, its as easy as downloading the release and adding it to the game files.
