Could I run the Linux version instead? Sure, in theory. But my current hardware and software setup for gaming involves running all games in Windows, because enough of them are Linux-hostile. The Linux side of my system is basically headless (low-end GPU, no X or Wayland).
Could I install the Epic Games software and run the game through there? I suppose I could, in principle. But I'd kinda rather the fucking thing that I paid fucking money for just fucking work the way it's fucking supposed to in the first place, you know?
