The conditions to get it to work are rather exacting. Parent needs a car, there is a school within 2 km (I think) of the home parking lot, and the parent starts their work shift with the child at home also on their school shift.

Education of the parent can be university or basic, and the parent can be going to work anywhere within range of their home parking lot, not just the school/university.

Expect the child to miss a lot of school if you try to rely exclusively on this.

This mechanic actually works? I heard about it back in 2019 but I've never encountered it myself.
