Systems
Here are explanations regarding certain systems used within the mod.

Precision Targeting Mechanic
  • When aiming at a target and the cursor is within its hitbox, the target is acquired as a precision target.
  • Projectiles fired will deal normal damage to non-precision targets and precision damage to the acquired target at the time it was fired.
  • The mechanic was not added to every weapon to avoid making it difficult to balance these weapons. (balanced precision damage would result in bad non precision damage for most weapons)

Reload Mechanic
  • Weapons with this mechanic feature their own internal magazine and have a reload on their alt-ability, which can only be used when the magazine is not full.
  • These weapons do not use energy when fired but instead use up their magazine, and reloading will drain a large chunk of energy.
  • All ranged weapons that do not utilize the reload mechanic use energy like normal guns.

Heavy Ammo Mechanic
  • Heavy Ammo works similar to the Reload Mechanic as that the weapons consume internal ammo on use and must be reloaded when the magazine is emptied.
  • Instead of using energy, these weapons consume 1 Heavy-Reserve to refill the magazine.
  • The reload is initiated using shift + Alt-Ability or when the weapon is used with an empty magazine. There is a short reload animation.
  • Machineguns feature chainloading and cannot be manually reloaded. These weapons will only reload upon usage with an empty magazine and do not have a reload animation. (They dont pause when shooting either)
  • The only weapons that do not use this ammy system are Leviathans Breath (uses energy like other bows) and Swords.
  • Heavy ammo has a small chance to drop when killing enemies. This chance increases whenever non drops and resets back to its base chance upon dropping. (Chance increase is also reset whenever the player is reloaded)

Fabian Strategy

  • Takedowns grant a stacking damage boost (~18% per stack, max 3) and refund energy.
  • Takedowns while bellow 30% HP will grant a short regeneration effect.
  • While near enemies, firerate is increased. This effect has two stages.

  • Using the Alt-ability + shift changes the weapons firerate (also changes damage per shot)
  • WIP: This weapon is usable and craftable but will be changed in the future to become more unique.
Monte Carlo

  • Alt ability allows the player to perform a three stab combo with the weapons blade.
  • Takedowns with this weapon grant a stacking damage bonus for 5s. (Max 5 stacks)
  • Bullet takedowns grant 1 stack and gain a 15% damage bonus per stack. (max 75%)
  • Melee takedowns grant 5 stacks and gain a 4% damage bonus per stack. (max 20%)
Necrochasm

  • Fires arc bullets at high firerate.
  • Takedowns create arc explosions on the targets corpse.
  • Takedowns in close range refunds energy.
  • Continues hits decrease inaccuracy.
Quicksilver Storm

  • Shoots a micro missile every few shots.
  • Hits with the micro missile load grenade charges.
  • Using alt ability allows to swap into grenade mode, causing the weapon to fire grenades which consume grenade charges.
  • This weapon retains its selected form as well as the charges when stowed. Swaps back to Rifle mode after the last grenade charge was used.
  • [CATALYST]: Changes element to strand. Decreases the bullet count required for missiles to be fired and increases the grenade capacity to 5. Grenade final blows create a secondary strand explosion.
SUROS Regime

  • While energy is bellow 50%, the energy cost per shot is halved and the weapon deals increased damage. Additionally, takedowns have a chance to heal the player and refund a percentage of energy.
  • When trigger is held, the weapon starts to ramp up.
  • Alt ability will change the weapons fire mode between "Spinning up" and "Dual Reciever".
  • Spinning up: The weapon fires faster based on its ramp up level.
  • Dual Reciever: The weapon fires slower but deals more damage and becomes more accurate as ramp up level increases.
  • [CATALYST]: The chance to trigger the healing on kill is doubled.
Sweet Business

  • When fully spun up, kills refund 5% of max energy.
Hard Light

  • Fires a constant beam of bullets that ricochet of surfaces.
  • Alt ability changes the element.
  • The elements are solar/arc/void/stasis.
Tommy's Matchbook

  • While firing the weapon builds up heat.
  • After reaching enough heat the player ignites taking continues damage. While ignited the weapon deals more damage and has less energy cost, both scaling with the missing health of the player.
  • Burn will not deal damage if player has 4 or less HP.
Zhalo Supercell

  • Every other takedown refunds energy.

Combat Bows

  • Arrows fired through a guidancering will summon two guided missiles that travel in the same direction as the arrow. These missiles home in on close by targets an also grant stacks on takedown.
  • [CATALYST] Emergency Scramble: Firing arrows through a guidancering, grants 2.5x draw speed for a few seconds.

Ticuu's Divination

  • A special bow with two fire modes.
  • Hipfire: Using normal fire allows the user to mark up to three targets. On release the three arrows fired will home in onto their target and mark them.
  • Precision: Using the altfire, allows the user to fire a single bolt that will activate marks and detonate them. Explosions from the detonation can detonate other marks. The explosion damage scales with the damage of the triggering arrow.
Trinity Ghoul

  • Fires three arorws at once. With increased drawtime, the angle decreases down to 0 at full draw.
  • Achieving a takedown with a fully drawn shot, grants this weapon "Lightning Rod", causing the next arrows fired to create arc zaps to nearby targets.
  • [CATALYST]: "Lighting Rod" now triggers from any arc damage. Drawspeed is slightly increased.
Leviathan's Breath

  • Heavy hitting bow with slow draw-speed.
  • Fulldraw arrows create a repulsion explosion on impact.
  • Heavy Bow: Using the alt ability, toggles the weapon between normal and heavy mods. While in heavy mode, the bow does not drain energy but instead pulls from heavy reserves. It also deals increased damage in this mode.
  • [CATALYST] Archers Tempo: Precision Arrow hits increase draw-speed up to 5 times for 5s.

  • On takedown there is an escalating chance to create a trace. This trace will home in towards its creator. Upon pickup, the weapon becomes empowered for 10s
  • While empowered, bolts fired will create arc zaps to nearby targets. The chance to create traces is fixed while the weapon is empowered.
  • [CATALYST] Picking up a trace will refund some energy. The trace chance is also increased while empowered.
Jötunn

  • Fires a heavy homing fire ball.
  • [CATALYST]: The fireball spreads flames on detonation.
Merciless

  • Fires a burst of five bolts.
  • If the weapon hits a target it starts to build up Momentum, decreasing its charge time. This effect can stack down to a certain minimum chargetime. The effect also stays for a few seconds upon activation and refreshes whenever momentum is gained or preserved.
  • Upon takedown, the weapon gains a brief damage boost.
Telesto

  • Fires a burst of 5 energy charges that stick to terrain, enemy and ally.
  • These charges detonate after a short delay.
  • This weapon is side-eying Pocket Infinity, better keep watch over them...
Vex Mythoclast

  • Fires full auto and on takedown builds up charges.
  • If the player has at least 2 charges, the alt ability can be used.
  • Using the alt ability changes the weapon into linear mode. (can be toggled between the two)
  • In linera mode, the weapon has to charged up and will fire a single bolt that deals increased damage but consumes 2 charges.
  • Auto swaps back when not enough charges are ready.
One Thousand Voices

  • Fires a laser that places repercussion charges on enemies and terrain.

Plan-C

  • Plan-C: When swaping to the weapon, its chargetime is heavily decreased for a brief moment and has its energy cost halved.
  • Afterwards the weapon has to be stowed for at least 5s before the perk can activate again.
  • Panic: When bellow 25% HP, "Plan-C" will remove the energy cost entirely and afterwards reduce it heavly. "Plan-C" duration is also increased by 4s.
Pocket Infinity

  • Upon initial charge, this weapon fires in bursts of 5 at full auto.

Grenade Launchers

  • Fires a blob of taken energy.
  • Bounces off ceilings and walls and on impact on the ground, creates a lingering taken pool.
  • Directhits on targets instead inflict withering, dealing constant damage. Targets that die while affected by withering will drop a taken pool underneath them.
  • [CATALYST] Autoloading: Stowing this weapon for a bit will reload it.
Dead Messenger

  • Single shot grenadelauncher that has to be reload after a shot has been fired.
  • Using the alt ability initiates the reload. Holding the alt ability for a bit, will toggle between the four elements (arc/solar/void/stasis)
  • Grenades fired will explode on impact with targets and if they hit terrain, create a trail of flames that deal tick damage to targets they touch. The flamewave can travel one block up and up to five blocks down (per step of the wave)
  • [CATALYST] Autoloading: The catalyst enables autoloading if the weapon is stowed with an empty magazine for a few seconds.
Fighting Lion

  • Fires bouncing grenades.
  • Holding the trigger for at least 0.75 seconds enables manual toggle. While manual toggle is active, releasing the trigger will instantly detonate the grenade.
  • This weapon has a magazine of 1 and has to be reloaded with the alt-ability. Instead of draining energy when shooting, energy is used on reload.
  • Hitting a target that has recently taken damage from this weapon, will automatically reload it (this effect can only trigger 3 times per target before that target goes on cooldown)
Anarchy

  • Fires tethermines that attach to terrain and enemies and pulse, dealing damage around them.
  • Placing tether mines near others will cause them to emit electric connections which deal contact damage. A single weapon can place a maximum of 6 mines.
  • [WARNING] Too many connections will cause the game to lag out (connections are individual projectiles)
Parasite

  • Single shot grenade launcher that fires a volatile hive worm.
  • This weapon has a magazine of 1 and has to be reloaded with the alt-ability. Instead of draining energy when shooting, energy is used on reload.
  • Equiping or reloading the weapon grants "Harvesting" that lasts for quite some time.
  • While affected by "Harvesting", takedowns build up charges. Charges are transfered to Parasite when the weapon is equipped.
  • Charges are consumed when firing, increasing the worms explosion radius and damage. At max charges(20), the weapon bypasses enemy resistances.

  • All handcannons (except for Sturm) have a magazine mechanic. Using the alt-ability consumes energy and loads the magazine.
  • Shots fired use up ammunition instead of energy. When the magazine is empty, firing will instead initiate a reload.

  • Each of these slots increases the damage of a bullet by 2x. This can stack multiple times on one bullet and stacks multiplicative.
Lumina

  • Takedowns leave behind a remnant. These remnants track towards their creator when in range.
  • Remnants grant Noble-rounds and returns two bullets to the magazine.
  • Holding shift while firing, consumes one nouble-round and one shot from the mag and fires an ally seeking healing-orb. Can hit players and friendly npc's.
  • When this orb hits an ally, they are granted healing and "Blessing of the Sky" to both them and the person using Lumina. The healing strenght increases at level 5 and 10 of the weapon.
  • "Blessing of the stars" increases the damage of weapons.
  • [CATALYST] Blessing: remnants grant 2 noble rounds and return 4 bullets.
  • Cannot be aquired from Exotic engrams, instead must be crafted using Rose.
Malfeasance

The First Curse

  • Dealing Precision damage with Deadly Gaze will refresh it. Missed shots or non precision damage removse the effect and sets it on a cooldown.
  • [CATALYST] Autoloading holster: Stowing the weapon for a bit will automatically reload it the next time it is drawn. Reduces Deadly Gaze cooldown.
Sunshot

  • [CATALYST] Fourth time's the charm: Hitting four bullets in quick succession will refund two shots to the mag. Weakness applied is increased to 25% and the 16th shot also applies volatile in addition to the explosion.
Grand Overture

  • Holding the trigger winds up the weapon. After the windup, the weapon continuesly fires arc slugs.
  • On slug hits, builds up charges.
  • Using the alt ability toggles the weapon between missile mode and normal mode.
    In missile mode, the weapon shoots full auto micro missiles at high firerate. These Missiles cost one charge each and have slight tracking.
  • [CATALYST] Max stacks of charges increased. Micromissiles takedowns create a larger arc explosion.
Heir Apparent

  • Holding shift will start to spin up the weapon, causing the player to become less mobile but increases armor by ~40%, knockback immunity and major falldamage reduction.
  • When fully spun up, the weapon can be fired.
  • Continues fire heats up the barrels, causing the weapon to become more inaccurate.
  • While firing the wepaon builds up heat, increasing the damage per shot. Not shooting quickly reduces heat.
Nemesis Star

  • On initial trigger pull, this weapon has a burst of massivly increased firerate.
  • While trigger is held, firerate decreases but accuracy and damage increase. Releasing the trigger inverts this effect.
Nova Mortis

  • Continuesly firing the weapon increases its firerate. Every few shots, creates a volatile explosion and vaccume implosion on impact.
Super Good Advice

  • Missed shots have a high chance of returning to the magazine.
  • Hitting shots increases chance to not consume reserves on the next reload.
  • [CATALYST] Advice to action: If at least half the magazine missed its target, "advice" is activated (refunded bullets contribute to this counter). While "advice" is active, bullets will seek a nearby target. Shots that would have missed but hit due to the tracking, will not increase the chance of not consuming ammo. Additionally, shots hit while "advice" is active, have a 10% chance to be refunded.
Thunderlord

Pulse Rifles

  • Energy regained that exceeds the energy cap, temporarly increase the maximum energy. 5% of this extra energy is lost every second until the player has normal energy again.
  • [CATALYST] The duration of "String of curses" is extended and the damage per stack is increased. The amount of energy regained is also increased.
No Time to Explain

  • A heavy hitting pulse rifle. On hit grants stacks of "Rewind again".
  • At 10 "Rewind again" stacks, spawns a portal buddy above the player, which will automatically shoot at enemies.
  • The portal will only shoot at enemies in the facing direction of the player or that are within 15 block range.
Outbreak Perfected

  • Last shot of burst spawns a Nanite. This Nanite aggressively homes in on the closest target and bounces through them, dealing continues pass-through damage. If the target dies, the Nanites seeks another nearby victim.
  • Nanites gain bonus damage for each other Nanite within close proximity.
  • [CATALYST] Desease Vector:
    • Shooting refreshes the duration of all your Nanites.
    • Takedowns with the weapon or nanites, spawn a nanite.
    • Alt-ability allows for direct comand of nanites, sending them onto a specific target. This effect has a few conditions: there must be at least on active nanite that belogs to the player, there must be a target at the cursors position and some energy is required.
    • The alt ability can be used on players and if used on one-self, nanites will stick near the player and wont expire. These Nanites will jump onto the first target that comes too close to the player.
  • Nowhere is safe, it will find you.
  • [WARNING] Having too many nanites might reduce game performance.
Vigilance Wing

  • Five burst pulse rifle.
  • When health drops bellow 20%, activates Lifeline for 3s.
  • Lifeline grants full invulnerability and some healing.
  • Lifeline has a lengthy cooldown afterwards which only decreases while the weapon is held or through takedowns with this weapon.
Collective Obligation

  • Three burst void pulse rifle.
  • Shots that hit a target afflicted with certain status effects will start leaching them.
  • The weapon stores charges for each shot that leaches status effects. (There is no direct limit how many status effects a single bullet can leech at once)
  • When a status effect stored within the weapon becomes saturated, the alt ability becomes available.
  • Using the alt ability toggles the weapon into its alternate mode for a few seconds, applying all status effects that were saturated prior to activation. (It can apply all stored effects at once if all are saturated)
  • While in this mode, no new effects can be leached and using the alt ability again will cancel it early. There is a 1s timeout before the weapon can leech status effects again. (It may still be able to leech status effects the weapon itself applied)
  • [CATALYST]: While the weapon is held, every 2 seconds, the weapon can leech status effects from the player that is holding it.
  • [LEECH LIST]: The following rules apply to leaching:
    • Only select few status effects can be leached.
    • Each of these status effects have a certain "gain" and "saturation". "Gain" is how much charge the status effect gains evreytime a leech-callback is made (a leech callback usually happens once per bullet or once within 2s from the catalyst). "Saturation" defines how much charge is needed for a status effect to become ready.
    • The default "Gain" and "Saturation" are 2 and 12 respectivly. (a burst of three shots will return about 6 charges of the necessary 12 to activate the status effect)
    • Future effects may have different gains and saturation.
    • Currently the following status effects are supported:

Dragon's Breath

  • Fires a missile that on impact drops a Napalmcanister straight down. This canister explodes on impact with terrain or enemies and launches an arc of lingering flames.
  • Holding the trigger for 0.25s, activates manual toggle. While manual toggle is active, releasing the trigger will instantly detonate the missile and drop the canister.
  • Carefull, flames do not distinguish between friend or foe and also tend to burn through plantbased tiles. They also dont mind diving into water.
  • WARNING: Uses a lot of particles and can cause framerate issues if too many flames are on the screen at once. (One blast should be fine, two will make it slow down)
Eyes of Tomorrow

  • Cannot be fired normally. Holding fire button will allow marking of up to six targets.
  • On release, fires six rockets that home in on marked targets. Missiles will be evenly spread across all targets if there are fewer than 6 targets.
  • After 4 takedowns, activates "adaptive ordonance", refunding its magazine and granting the next volley of missiles increased damage.

  • "Overflow" increases the weapons firerate and precision damage.

The Fourth Horseman

  • Has a magazine size of 4 shots.
  • Using the alt-ability reloads the weapon, shell by shell.
  • While the trigger is held, stacks of "Broadside" are gained, increasing the weapons damage and inaccuracy.
  • Holding shift will launch the player backwards from the fire direction.
  • [CATALYST] The magazine is increased to 5 and stacks can build up to 5. Reload speed is also increased.
The Legend of Acrius

  • Fires a blast of arc pelets at fixed ranged that deal massive damage and overpenetrate targets. The blast partially ignores resistances.
  • While the weapon is held, the player gains major knockback and falldamage reduction as well as consume hunger and breath at decreased rate while breath recovers faster.
  • The player also constantly regenerates health, increased while bellow 50% HP.
Tractor Cannon

  • Creates a short range blast that deals void damage and applies void supress as well as a 25% void weakness.
  • After firing over the next 2s, the weapon charges up. At low charge, the knockback power is decreased.
  • While in zero gravity, the recoil can be used for movement.
  • Dealing void damage grants increased movementspeed for a short time. (4s duration, 4s cooldown)
Universal Remote

  • Using the Alt-ability places down a remote portal. While this portal is up, the gun fires pellets from the portal towards the cursor. Using the Alt-ability again, retracts the portal.

    [CATALYST] The Rock: Upon achieving a bullet takedown, a charge is gained. Holding the reload compresses the magazine into a single shot. This shot lobs a frag-grenade but consumes the charge. Reloading while "The Rock" is loaded, will unload it (Charge is kept).
Rat King

  • Deals bonus damage for each nearby player or NPC that is also holding this weapon.
  • Reloading within 4s of achieving a takedown grants "Ambush" for 6s, increased by 2s for each nearby Ratpack-member.
  • While "Ambush" is active, the player becomes invisible (only visual) and immune to damage. Swaping off Rat King or shooting will end this effect.
  • [CATALYST] Surprise: Ending "Ambush" through shooting will grant "Surprise" to yourself and all nearby Ratpack-members for 3s, increased by 1s for each nearby Ratpack-member. "Surprise" causes shots ignore armor. Getting a takedown while surprise is active, also allows nearby Ratpack-members to enter "Ambush" through a reload, as if they achieved the takedown.
  • More Rates equals more damage, aint that right...
Traveler's Chosen

  • On takedown grants stacks of "Gathering Light" up to a maximum of 10.
  • Each stack decreases the weapons inaccuracy by 10% and increases the illumination the weapon provides.
  • Holding Reload will consume all stacks of "Gathering Light" and grant bonus effects based on the ammount consumed. (all effects based on stacks consumed are applied at once)
    • 1+ -> Health regeneration buff.
    • 3+ -> Energy regeneration buff.
    • 6+ -> Movement speed buff.
    • 10 -> Damage buff.
Devil's Ruin

  • Holding the cursor on a target or marking them with aim assist for a bit, enables some info about the target.
Patience and Time

  • Crouching for 1.5s grants invisibility and causes the weapon to charge up over 4s, increasing the precision damage of the next shot. Charge is reset upon firing and lost when not crouching.
  • Invisibility grants major armor bonus and knockback resistance but does not prevent enemy detection (game-limitation).
  • Using the alt-ability highlights nearby targets, causing them to periodically pulse. Pulse frequency increases the less HP they have. Highlighting refreshes upon taking damage.
  • [CATALYST]: Decreases time to activate invisibility, increases the charge gained while crouched and the bonus precision damage provided through charging.
Hereafter

  • While crouched, the base precision damage multiplier is increased (additive).
  • Perfectionist: On precision kill, gain one stack of "Perfectionist" up to a maximum of 10. Each stack increases the precision damage. This total increase is applied multiplicative to the base precision damage multiplier. On miss or non-precision hit, all stacks are lost.
  • Getting a precision kill with each shot of the magazine refunds the magazine.
  • [CATALYST] Rising star: "Perfectionist" can stack infinitly. There's a chance on miss or non-precision hit to not loose "Perfectionist". This can only ocure once and is refreshed on precision hit. The chance increases for each consecutive precision kill since the last time this chance triggered and resets if "Perfectionist" is lost.
Whisper of the Worm

  • Deals very little non-precision damage but has HUGE precision damage.
  • White Nail: Hitting three shots within 1.5s of one another will refund the magazine.
  • Using the alt ability allows the camera to lock onto a target, making them the focus point of the player's camera. A new target may be selected while there is already a marked target.
  • Killing the target with this weapon will automatically search for a new target in range and if one is found, mark it.
  • While in this focus mode, the player has reduced mobility ("Sniper's Focus")
  • [CATALYST] Whispered Breathing: When remaining in focus mode for 1.5s, the precision damage against the marked target is increased. This effect stays when the mark changes targets. Whitenail has its time-window increased to 2.5s. Hitting the target with precision damage will increase continuesly increase the damage dealt for each shot hit.
No Land Beyond

  • Using the alt ability, the player can zap themselves (taking arc damage) to activate the super charged state. (cannot be activated while bellow 25% HP and costs ~15% max hp)
Tarrabah

  • On hit grants charge percentage. Drawing the weapon will half the charge stored.
  • When at 100%, using the alt ability activates "Ravenous beast", increasing the weapons fire rate and the damage while decreasing the energy cost.
  • Dealing damage while this is in effect will extend the timer. Stowing will instantly remove it.
The Manticore

  • While on the ground, hits build up charges (displayed on chargebar)
  • Dealing damage while airborne, activates repulsors for 2s and causes the player to levitate. The weapon deals increased damage in this mode but drains charge. Repulsors are deactivated when: they run out, there is no charge left or the player touches the ground.
  • Using the alt-ability auto enables the repulsors but drains some charge. While levitating, using the alt-ability disables the repulsors.
  • [CATALYST] Flying monster:
    • Takedowns while repulsors are actrive, grant damage reduction for a short time. This damage reduction is removed upon touching the ground.
    • Shots on the ground grant more charge and shots while levitating drain less.
    • Damage boost while levitating is slightly increased.
    • Alt-ability toggle charge cost is decreased.

  • Takedowns spawn "Transmutationspheres" (5s internal cooldown)
  • When close enough to a "Transmutationspheres" the alt-ability can be used.
  • Upon using the alt-ability, the weapon transforms into a "Transmutationsphere". In this form its usage is changed.
    • Primary -> perform a two combo swing attack.
    • Primary + shift -> create a large circular zone around the item dealing constant tick damage to enemies inside and heal the player every third hit.
    • Alt ability -> Dispose the "Transmutationsphere" by dunking it on the ground, creating an explosion that repells enemies away.
    • Each of these actions cost charge which is displayed in the chargebar above the player. The alt ability action will consume all charge. Upon reaching 0 charge, the weapon transforms back into Ruinous effigy and resets the creation cooldown for Transmutationspheres.
  • The weapon stores its current form when stowed.
  • [CATALYST] The draining aura of "Transmutationspheres" apply weaken on targets hit.
