I'd like to add that there's another way to get the achievement for stopping Instance and Tangent. I never had the event with the open lab door, but I still got the conversation with Tang to convince her I knew about the plague. Immediately after that I went and told Dys (60+ friendship) and he then planted the bomb from the glow attack on the engineering building instead which triggered the achievement. Age 17 mid pollen.
@cocytushexen You should aim to get the "Heroic" buff during glow or whenever else you can, and make use of the buff to go exploring for quick red skill gains. Get the Hopeye/Vriki pets as early as you can for reduced stress and better skill gains. The "Golden Path" guide was helpful for my first run even though I couldn't follow it exactly (it assumes you have unlocks in advance).
don't see the reborn grant stats from previous lives to carry over either. so everything is reset
You wrote, "Then in the 8th year, you can get a conversation with Sym about the Gardener. At the end of this, Dys will ask Sym about becoming one."
So, I'm at P2, age 17 (which is year 8, if I'm mathing right?), just cleared the mourning from Sym's errrr... cliff hanger event? *cough*, and I cannot find this conversation anywhere in the Wresting Ridge... am I mathing the year wrong? Do I need to wait until age 18? After the discussion with Dys during the wet season?
Thank you so much!
