Special conditions of detention: The storage of the SCP-294 object does not provide for any specially recorded conditions of detention. However, only personnel with security clearance level 2 or higher may be allowed to work with the facility (see appendix SCP-294a). SCP-294 is currently housed in the staff lounge on the second floor and can be used for its intended purpose, however, it must be constantly monitored by two (2) security guards of security clearance level 3.

Description: The SCP-294 object looks like a standard coffee machine. Its only difference is the presence of a touch panel with buttons corresponding to a conventional QWERTY keyboard. When one 50-cent US coin is placed in the coin slot, the user of the object gets the right to enter the name of any liquid of interest on the keyboard. When you press the "enter" button, a 12-ounce (350 milliliter) paper cup appears in the dispenser, filled with the specified liquid from the tap. The first 97 experiments with the object were successfully completed, in which users demanded that the machine pour them water, coffee, beer, carbonated water; some unusable liquids - in particular, sulfuric acid, wiper, engine oil; substances that do not exist in a liquid state at room temperature and pressure - nitrogen, iron, glass. Each time the machine filled the cup with the appropriate liquid. Experiments with entering into the machine the names of substances that exist only in the solid state — for example, diamond — have not led to anything. Apparently, the SCP-294 object is capable of producing matter only in a liquid state.

It was noted that after approximately 50 working cycles, the machine stops responding to requests. After an idle period of about 90 minutes, the facility resumes operation, obviously replenishing stocks of raw materials and cups. It is curious that the cups issued by the machine do not collapse under the influence of even the most caustic or high-temperature liquids that can quickly destroy an ordinary paper cup.

The further testing program includes obtaining ultra-high and ultra-low temperature liquids for the needs of the Fund, for example, molten metals and liquid nitrogen. As part of the Doctor's rational proposal, the SCP-294 object has been moved to the staff rest room on the second floor, which will allow the Foundation to save money on providing employees with hot and cold drinks. After the incident 294-01, a guard was assigned to the machine, and for its use it is necessary to coordinate with the management the request entered into the machine.
