So how this works is:
You buy an item for a lower price and then sell it when the price goes up.

Just like the stock market, Steam has its own market called the " Community Market ". Here you can Buy and Sell items. Also you don't need to be sitting next to your PC all day to do this because just like the stock market here there are features like Buy Order & Sell Order, which you can place buy or sell order and you can continue doing your other work or even shut down your PC and the buy or sell action will take place automatically as it reaches your set target.

To get started, first you need to find an item that:

• Has daily or frequent buy and sell activity
  
• Has good difference between its lowest and highest selling value (margin so that we can make profit)
  
• It has to be inexpensive (or at least have good profit margin if its pricey)

Go to COMMUNITY
Click MARKET
Browse for Items or Select a Game from the games list on the right side. Or search for an item in the search bar.

The item should have daily similar ups and downs.
Once you find an item its performance chart should look something like this:







Don't choose an item that has a chart like this:







In this case I will be using the Summer 2022 Cosmetic Case from Team Fortress 2.

Click on the "Week" option below the chart to zoom in and view the week's performance
(Also you can click-and-drag and create a rectangle in the chart to zoom in or zoom out)

Here we can see Best-lowest it has Mostly sold is around ₹1.52

Under BUY button, you will see how many people have listed their items for selling
we want to buy the item for ₹1.52 or lower
In this case people have listed lower than ₹1.52 (that is ₹1.44, ₹1.45 ₹1.46...)

So we will place buy orders for the number of items listed accordingly

For example in this case:
Buy 1Qty for ₹1.44
Buy 1Qty for ₹1.45
Buy 1Qty for ₹1.46
Buy 1Qty for ₹1.47
Buy 2Qty for ₹1.49

(or you could place an order for ₹1.52 and enter number of quantity in your buy order, it will buy items for ₹1.52 or lower)

Once you have bought the item with the quantity of your choice,
You can place a sell order.

(You don't need to wait for the price to fall. You just have to place the order and Steam will automatically sell it when someone places a buy order that matches your selling price which you have set)

In this case the best price to sell this item is ₹3.18 (As we have decided before)
So we will click the SELL option

Then we will enter the amount at which price it needs to be sold
This has to be done each time for the number of quantity you have bought
(e.g.: If you have bought 50 items, you need to click on SELL option and enter sell amount 50 times, this is the only trouble taking part. If you have a high margin item then you can reduce this hardworking part and buy-and-sell less items as they will have the larger profit margin on each item)

Projected Net Profit (Taking current currency value: ₹80 = $1)

For example: Team Fortress 2 Summer 2022 Cosmetic Case

Its lowest is ₹1.52
And sells at ₹3.18
After deducting Steam Fees, you get around ₹2.77
So, ₹2.77 minus ₹1.52 = ₹1.25 Profit

Buy 132 cases of ₹1.52 = ₹200 ($2.5)
Sell 132 cases and get ₹2.77 each(after deducting fees) = ₹365 ($4.6)
So, ₹200 minus ₹365 = ₹165 ($2) Profit

If you do this 2 times a day that is $4 a day Profit, plus you will have your previous amount.
If you do this for 30 days, that is ₹9600 ($120) a month Profit.

End note:
Some may find this tedious, some may find this interesting and fun
This gets interesting when you buy items in bulk
