About this guide
This guide is made on 07 oct 2022. Edited on 13 apr 2023
game version originally made with: v2022.09.29
This guide is meant to be compact and help you recognize engine types and basic stats

Engine basics
>You can use any engine anywhere (but there may be complications)

>Make sure you give the engine the right fuel
>4-Stroke engines need fuel only
>2-Stroke petrol engines need fuel mixed with oil. It's safe to use 3% oil, 97% petrol in the game.
(IRL Trabant and Wartburg oil to fuel ratio is 1:33, for Jawa 350 the ratio is 1:50.)
>Liquid-cooled engines need radiators. Some vehicles don't have slots for them.

Why is the Golf/Caddy GTI engine so rare? I can only ever find the TDI engine.

A V8 can be a 4 stroke or 2 stroke.
Just as an inline 3 cylinder can be 4 or 2 stroke.

He's not saying a V8 is a 4 cylinder engine LOL

But you can put different engines in like the starter pickup, and make them work, or no?

My personal favorite is a tie bewteen VW Golf Diesel and VW Beetle. The golf diesel engine is great for most cars, and has plenty of power for the average player. The VW Beetle is the most powerful air cooled engine by a good bit, and it's small as well as ridiculously low maintenance. It requires no water and you dont have to mix oil into the fuel either.
