Download the script from one of the links below

02 Finding your game folder
  1. Click on your Steam LIBRARY
  2. Find Need for Speedā„¢ Heat
  3. Right click on it
  4. Click on Manage
  5. Click on Browse local files


it should look like this:
03 Applying the fix!
  1. Copy nfs_hits_cpu90_fix.cmd to your game's main folder
  2. Run nfs_hits_cpu90_fix.cmd (This script creates a proper user.cfg depending on your CPU)




  3. start game, be heppy :)

game is in a black screen, should it be running on fullscreen to work? In borderless mode, it just freezes on the black screen, i have to kill the game on task manager to close it

Can confirm, downloaded from the Mega link, followed instructions, game runs Noticeably better. And while I know this adjusts CPU usage parameters, I swear it made my game look better too.

@RadBeaver it seems this script creates a file that sets some game engine variables to properly detect how many cores you have on your CPU

Tysm, my CPU averages 100% on games like Need For Speed, but using this it is actually not killing my pc.

Work fine, on game start it jumps to 90%+ cpu use, even with fix everytime, in game i have 25-35% average use of cpu (i5 10600k).
