Intro
Ziggurat 2 achievements might seem intimidating at first, but luckily none of them are missable and most of them are irrelevant. You either get them automatically or can reliably get them on first attempted run.

There are a few achievements that are RNG and will require you to spot and take the opportunity as it presents it self, and I recommend reading through RNG/Opportunity achievements section and ignoring the rest.

I've written some basic tips on what to prioritize in Strategy section..

Oh and.... Win a fight without firing a single shot is a class-specific achievement, so don't waste your time until you find a class that fights without attacking. I tried a few ways to clear rooms without using weapons and none of them work (disappointing, really).

In case you need info on specific trophies PSNProfiles[psnprofiles.com] has a trophy guide with more detailed info on each one.
Strategy (achievement focused)
This might take the fun out of the game for you, so MAYBE skip this.

Do dedicated run achievements
Specifically these, as they get more difficult the further you progress. Switch to easy mode, if you find these as tedious as I did.
  • Old School - Complete a floor without using the Dash or the Hero skill
  • With a hand tied behind your back - Win a Quest without using level ups
  • It's all I need - Win a Quest using only your Wand

Get (and stay) on highest 3 difficulties
You'll first need to learn to evade projectiles. This game has a fairly punishing tracking if you're just running in lines. You'll want to learn to evade tracking projectiles and go on higher difficulty to get used to evading multiple at once.

In easy modes enemies don't attack as often, which means you won't get as many chances to learn to dodge multiple projectiles at once.

You can play on 3rd one most of the game, but might have troubles surviving 4th difficulty trials. Infinite dungeon can be done on easy difficulty, but enemies get buffed, so survival skills might come in handy.

Keep progressing
Don't stay in lowest tiers too long. The longer the quest, the more rewards (per stage) you get and you only get access to longer quests with story progression.
  • A 2 stage quest (minimum) gives 1 reward (0.5 reward per stage).
  • A 6 stage quest (maximum) gives 5 rewards (0.83 reward per stage).
Also shorter quests end before you get strong. Last 2 stages of a 6 stage quest are much faster than a 2 stage quest.

Meta-progression Traits
Aim to max out mastery gain early. Mastery gain affects how fast you master equipment and you get a shards for meta-progression for each equipment mastery level. You need 30 shards to max it out.

Damage seems like the most obvious thing to go for, but experience gain and mana pools all affect your performance in combat, so I'd advise spreading those points around. Some other hero traits and last few elemental traits can help with survivability slightly.
Difficult to miss achievements (ignore these)
You can mostly ignore this section, because if you're going for completion, you'll have to go out of your way to miss these. I only added it for the sake of completion.

Non-achievements
  • The first step - Reach Experience Level 2 in a run
  • Explorer - Find all pieces of the Master Key
  • Forged by Fire - Improve a weapon using the Anvil
  • A worthy opponent - Defeat a Guardian
  • Again! - Fail a Quest
  • Stronger and Stronger - Improve a skill in the Laboratory
  • A Wizard did it - Finish the Tutorial
  • A Wizard is never late - Complete a Quest

Story achievements (Complete chapter x)
  • The Free Agent1
  • Desperate measures
  • War in the North
  • The Hidden Lab
  • Old School Reunion
  • Lost Civilization
  • Impregnable Barrier
  • The Fortress
  • The Second Ziggurat
  • No vacancy - Unlock all heroes in the campaign. You get it with The Second Ziggurat.

Straightforward grind
There's no RNG involved, just a fixed amount of rewards. The higher the quest difficulty/length the better reward per time spent.
  • Full Deck - Unlock all perks (excluding hero perks) in the campaign.
  • Jeweler - Unlock all amulets in the campaign.
  • Magic Arsenal - Unlock all weapons in the campaign.

Unmissable, but RNG
  • Errand boy - Win all special fights.
  • Eyes on the prize - Win a Chained Chest challenge.
  • Rules have changed - Win a fight with an active modifier.
  • Apprentice - Reach Experience Level 10 in a run.
  • Scholar - Reach Experience Level 20 in a run.

Cummulative
  • Thirsty - Drink from 20 Fountains.
  • Terminator - Defeat 1,000 enemies
  • Ultraviolence - Defeat 5,000 enemies
  • Black Plague - Defeat 10,000 enemies
  • Feel the Power - Improve all skills of the same category in the Laboratory
RNG/Opportunity achievements (focus on these)
Pure RNG
These should be your main focus. While no achievements are fully missable most of these will take a full run (~40-60min) to attempt and then you might need the stars to align to make an attempt.

Read through these and memorize the objectives.

Catch Them All - Unlock all creatures in the campaign bestiary
The longest one in this category, so my recommendation is to play it REALLY safe when you see new bosses. The last 2 enemies are bosses that you only get access to after you finish the story. According to a long lost dev reply those 2 can only spawn as final bosses of a dungeon, BUT they can spawn in shortest dungeons too. That's where I got my last boss.

Like the back of my hand - Reach mastery level 10 in a weapon, hero or amulet.
Progression gives you incentive to take newly acquired equipment (that you will be showered with).

I recommend tackling this achievement at chapter 6 or 7 so, when you start getting maximum length/difficulty dungeons. It only takes 3-4 of these quests to max out 1 weapon, but you won't be getting the same weapon options each time. Just pick highest level weapons when you're given choices, while taking mastery experience boosting items in other slots.

Head to Head - Defeat a Lost Soul with the Skull of Xanatos.
This achievement is not super difficult, but you need a specific weapon (a spell/book with corresponding name) and a specific enemy.

The first time you see a flaming skull enemy start taking this weapon whenever you see it, until you unlock this achievement. One boss can also spawn flaming skulls.

Arch-mage - Reach Experience Level 30 in a run.
Relatively easy in a maximum length dungeon with XP perks. The key finding 2 of the perks you can exploit early on (some have downsides or conditions). I went with normal XP perk and Argo's (male Apprentice) XP boost when its absorbed by his skill. Cultist is also a decent option, because it's just increased damage intake.

Overspecialization - Carry 3 main weapons of the same element.
Spell, Staff, Alchemy are your "main" weapons. This one is annoying, if it's the last one because elements are RNG. There are 2 things that help a lot: a perk which forces a shop on every level (if you get it early) and not wasting your money until the end of the level. With that perk some levels will have 2 shops and a weapon chest. Leaving shops for last gives you a chance to plan.

Let yourself go - Perform 4 Oaths in the same run.
You need at least 5 stages to have a chance to get 4 oaths. Oaths are this game's version of cursed perks. They aren't too bad so, you may aswell take them, but don't expect to finish this early.

I'll take everything - Purchase all items offered in a shop
It's not a difficult one, but you kinda have to remember not to spend coins, unless you can buy out an entire shop.

Dedicated run
You might need a dedicated run for these. Some are best done early.

Lemon Squeezy - Defeat a Guardian without suffering damage.
To be clear. Any damage, whether it is to barrier, shield or health fails the achievement.

You can try this early while game difficulty is lower (less aggressive monsters, but same boss HP), but your damage will also be lower (less meta-progression and shorter dungeons, so less time to make a strong build).

If you try this late, there's a chance you'll get a crazy build going, basically finishing a boss before it can do anything serious.

Also there are a few things that can help you
  • Lowest difficulty setting - less aggressive monsters.
  • Focus on smaller monster while fighting the boss. You want to kite the boss and if too many minions are alive they will almost certainly hit you.
  • High damage and movement speed builds (duh)....
  • Grinding for XP, damage and mana upgrades in meta-progression.
  • Invulnerability accessory. Getting it is RNG so it might be difficult getting it early. There's also a shield-wall accessory, but it is notoriously unreliable as enemies can walk through it and some attacks still pierce it.
  • Invulnerability character. This one is risky, because this character has reduced movement speed.

Old School - Complete a floor without using the Dash or the Hero skill
Self explanatory.

With a hand tied behind your back - Win a Quest without using level ups.
Don't press "F" to pick the perks. Also, don't take oaths because those will trigger perk selection too.

It's all I need - Win a Quest using only your Wand
Self-explanatory. I've done this early. If you missed your chance you can also go after finishing the game, as you get a wand-based character.

Ouch! - Get defeated by a trap
Self explanatory, but might not die to them in regular gameplay.

Met your match - Get defeated by a Guardian
Also self explanatory. You might need a separate run just because you got killed by a minion instead of the boss.
Hero achievements (in a room with carrots....)
(Nadja)A little of their own medicine - Use Shield Bash on a Vanguard.
Bash the large enemy that has a shield.

For most of these find a room with many carrots rushing you. A piercing weapon will help for many of these (to help you kill the hoard quickly), but is not required. Additional details under individual achievements where they are needed.

  • (Argo)All for me - Attract 20 or more items in a single use of Syphon.
Use syphon after clearing a room with carrot horde, without picking much up manually. You have about 15 seconds before loot starts disappearing.

  • (Carina)Tsunami - Push 20 enemies or more in a single Shove
Push the horde instead of killing them. You need to group all the enemies in the room to do this.w

  • (Kira)Didn't see it coming - Defeat 5 enemies in a single use of Shroud.

  • (Jacob)The Gods are pleased - Defeat 15 enemies in a single use of Sacrifice.

  • (Glyndor)As good as new - Completely refill your Mana pools in a single use of Shell.
You don't need any special room for this one(although carrots should do). Just experiment with taking biggest hits. I did this achievement by taking some boss (+ minion) hits.

  • (Rigel)Hup! - Defeat 5 enemies in a single use of Vault.
Still carrots, but move away before jumping. If you want to be save bring them down in health a bit.

  • (Eris)Without getting your hands dirty - Win a fight without firing a single shot.
In first room of any dungeon don't attack.

  • (Margaret)Kaboom! - Hit 8 enemies with a single use of Flask.
Clump them up before tossing your flask. It's range is fine, but it will probably not reach if they are running in a straight line.

  • (Sirius)Barbeque - Defeat 10 enemies with a single use of Blaze

  • (Kraz)Nirvana - Extend the duration of Trance over 15 seconds.
This one is slightly different. First get this Hero's mastery level to 6 to be able to extend duration. Then do carrot rush. Piercing wand helps, but is not strictly necessary.

Post-campaign cleanup
I recommend doing these after beating campaign. They don't change, but you get more accustomed to controls and they will be a breeze once you're used to evasion and bosses.

  • Me against the world- Play the Daily Challenge and reach Floor 2 or better.
    1 stage is super easy.

  • (Can be done in campaign)Are you not entertained? - Complete 60 waves in the Gauntlet.
Look for nodes that say "Gauntlet" instead of "Side quest".

  • Like old times - Win the Ziggurat Trial in Classic Modes.
  • Titan - Beat the Ziggurat Trial in Master difficulty or higher
    6 Stages, generally more difficult.

  • Somebody stop me - Reach Floor 10 in the Infinite Dungeon.
Enemies get buffs with each stage. Takes longer, because enemies get tankier and you have to play safer, BUT you can do it on easiest difficulty.

I think we could both be correct. If memory serves right I've seen both these instances of duplicate weapons within the same run. So maybe I've simply exhausted the weapon pool by that point (it was early too, maybe about chapter 3). But yeah it'd require more research I guess.

@Rushin' Thanks for the correction. I've edited that out.
I haven't spotted any duplicates on my runs, so I guess it's just dumb luck then.

Regarding "you will never see the same weapon in a quest twice" though: https://i.imgur.com/QRS55Mq.png here's a chest weapon identical to what I already have. Probably got my own from a shop on a previous floor so perhaps only weapons from chests & perks count or something. Anecdotally I've seen identical copies of the same weapon being sold at the same shop as well.
