During the active construction of industrial centers on the surface of various planets, Outer Planets Consolidation faced the need to transport a large amount of cargo over long distances. While the internal needs of factories were being met by Tezel series trucks, using them as the main means of delivering goods between cities and distant enterprises significantly increased the cost of manufactured goods. The use of HM class ships (such as HM-302, HM-402 and HM-202), which are used by Consolidation in planetary conditions to transport small shipments, also significantly affect the final price.

One of the experimental projects of GST, a division specializing in ground equipment, was able to meet the need. The Genesis monorail locomotive was developed as a tractor for experimental monorail platforms, on the basis of which Consolidation Electronic Technologies prototyped its new Automated Transit System.

The first railway line was laid on the planet Tirone, where many new factories were being actively built at that time. And despite some engineering problems associated with the original purpose, Genesis became the first locomotive to successfully fulfill the duties assigned to it, thereby opening the way for the next generations of railway transport on the OPC territory.

This model can be used as a Survival Ready (it has enough power, you can refuel/charge it) however, this bluprint contains several subgrids, so it is not Build Ready. I will try to inform you about the plans to release a build ready model later.

This model was developed primarily for personal use a few years ago and has been changed only once since then. I can't call it the most convenient, but it successfully coped with the tasks (including with the help of ATS testing, as I mentioned in the lore). If you decide to use it in survival, keep in mind that all cars have a strict direction (you will need U-turns if you want to turn the direction of the train).

The main control takes place through the hotbar. On the first page you will find three buttons (6-8) that are responsible for full stop, increase and decrease the throttle, respectively. To "stick" the train to the rail on the second page there is a button (9) for clamping the retaining wheels.

Will something be more convenient in the future? I have long wanted to build a relistic railway in SE, which would be interesting to use in survival, so my experiments in this direction will continue.
