Before you enter the Summer season, I'd recommend having a Silver Pickaxe so you can reach the bottom of the mines consistently with a bit of save+reload involved. I also recommend AT LEAST a Copper Fishing Rod for the Crystal Lake in B10F. The gist of this guide is to have a decent amount of starting capital to start compounding your money at a higher base since it would suck to start small and continue the method throughout Fall and Winter.

Additionally, make sure that you have a functional kitchen that is capable of freestyle cooking. I can't quite remember if the base house has this, but if that's not the case then make sure to get the first house upgrade (which takes 3 days) to ensure you can cook.
Let's make Dorayaki!
This guide is adapted from an old YouTube guide with the same concept of saving just before the restaurant in the first game opens for the FIRST time during the season. The first opportunity you can do this in FotGK is during Y1 Summer. Unlike the first game, there are no events on the first day of Summer that will fast forward time.

The Roving Diner opens up at 10AM so save outside just a few seconds/minutes before. Once the clock hits 10AM, go in and check what Poppy is selling. The goal is to re-roll until you see both Bean Paste and Flour being sold at the same time. Once you have them both, save the game. Poppy will now stock the same items for the rest of the season!

I heard that a lot of old recipes got nerfed in sell price, so my original intention in looking for this was simply to craft Dorayaki/Yummy Buns to raise Doraemon's hearts faster. Thankfully, the sell price for the resulting cooked meal is enough of a boost to be worthwhile.

With that out of the way, let's make Doraemon's favorite food—Dorayaki!

PER UNIT
Cost to buy: Flour and Bean Paste (350G)
Sale price: Dorayaki/Yummy Bun (420G) → 20% Markup!!

Freestyle Recipe:
Flour + Bean Paste + No Tool

As you can see, every day that you cook these will result in a 20% increase in your money once it gets shipped. That's why the more seed money you start with, the higher resulting cash you can achieve by the end of Summer.
When does mining and fishing come into play?
Mining and fishing are merely sidekicks to increase your daily gains by adding to the base amount of your growing funds each day. Put simply, my fishing income (or mining income) adds on top of the Dorayaki sales for the day. This results in more funds to purchase more ingredients.

To visualize: Day 1 → Day 2 → Day 3

Without other sources of income:
50,000 * 1.2 = 60,000 → 60,000 * 1.2 = 72,000 → 72,000 *1.2 = 86,400

With mining/fishing income:
(50,000+4,350) * 1.2 = 65,220 → (65,220+3,800) * 1.2 = 82,824
→ (82,824+5,000) * 1.2 = 105,388

In short, if you want your income to explode, just keep fishing/mining on top of the cooking until you are satisfied with the ingredient funds that will get marked up by 20%.

Happy Cooking!
Thanks for reading! I know this guide may become outdated in the near future, but I found that cooking Dorayaki specifically for money is very viable as of right now since there's not much information out there (yet) on shipping prices. I hope you guys found this guide useful. If so, please consider showing some love.
