[INTRO] why mark seem is important ?
first lets see the difference between a unwrapped sphere using mark seem vs one without using mark seem

with mark seem :

without mark seem :

- Q&A :

1-1 why this matters ? well later when you are using a handmade texture for something like body
or a face you need a good uv map so you be able to tell which one is the hand or which one is the front of the face.

1-2 let me show you a example of good uv map :

* note : you can easily say which one is the hand and which one is the pants. this is a good uv map.

2-1 why we need good uv map like this ? because most game texture are like this :

i know its weird

so lets start the guide ...
[STEP-1] prepare our model
first you go to skatchfab or polyhaven and steal a free 3d model in this case we use a female model
that i just stole from someone on skatchfab because im lazy to make one.

this is our model :

* NOTE : i m going to show you one easy part which is hand (because im lazy)

1-1- separate the hand like this :

1-1-0.5-to do that after you selected the part you want to separate right click and click on separate and then selection like this :

.
1-2- look at your collection menu on your right now you have two object first is the body and the 2nd
is the hand its something like this :

1-3- after you done with this part delete the objects you don t need.
[STEP-2] logic of mark seem for different things
2-1- position your model like me :

2-1-1 side :

2-1-2 front :

2-2 marking seem is based on textures hand has to part front and back so we need to mark between the finger

-----------------------------------------------------------------
* NOTE: to understand better we draw line like this :

RED : mark seem
GREEN : front
YELLOW : back
-----------------------------------------------------------------
2-2-1 lets do it on software

go to edit mode and select like me :

front :

down to up view :

2-2-2 go to top of your screen and select UV or press U key

2-2-3 select make seem -->

NOTE : your model now should be look like this :

[STEP-3] unwrapping and positioning
3-1- from the top menu click on uv editing :

3-2-1-after you went to uv unwrapping menu select UV from here and unwrap ur model while selected :

3-2-2- after you unwrapped your model it should be look like this on the left menu :

3-3-3- position them like this :

[STEP-4] image texturing method
4-1-1-from the top left menu select this :

4-1-2- select your hand reference mine is this one :

4-1-3- select your hand model again and start position them like this :

NOTE : becuase we dont have custommade texture for this we have to manuly position them on pic

4-2-1- after you done with that , look at your right side menu you should see a globe on very end
like this image :

4-2-2- click and add new material :

4-2-3- click on the yellow dot next to base color like the image :

4-2-4- select image texture and when a new menu pop up under the base color for you select this and chose the same image we import before for hand
4-2-5- new go to this and click on render preview like image:

done

@Mark's Mediocre Productions marking seem is easy if you want to learn where you should mark your seems get a textured model from the internet or you can get one from daz studio software (itsfree) import them to blender and after you go to edit mode you can see and learn where to mark seem or just search on youtube :skull_happy:

Pretty nice guide, I'm still trying to learn how to mark seams on body parts, But this tutorial helped a bit! and now I also know how realistic human faces are textured like. Kind of creepy but funny at the same time.
