Special conditions of detention: SCP-096 must be kept permanently in its cell (sealed steel cube 5x5x5 m). Weekly checks for any cracks or holes are mandatory. There should be absolutely no video surveillance devices or optical devices inside the SCP-096 camera. Security personnel should use pre-installed pressure sensors and laser detectors to ensure that SCP-096 is in the chamber.

All photos, videos or physical descriptions of SCP-096 are strictly prohibited without the consent of the doctor and O5-█.

Description: SCP-096 is a humanoid creature approximately 2.38 meters tall. The subject has a small amount of muscle mass, preliminary body mass tests show mild malnutrition. The arms are disproportionately large in relation to the body of the object, the length of each is approximately 1.5 m. The skin is mostly devoid of pigmentation, there are no signs of body hair.

The jaws of SCP-096 can open four times wider than normal for the average person. Other facial features are similar to the average human, except for the eyes, which are also devoid of pigmentation. It is currently unknown whether SCP-096 is blind or not. He shows no signs of higher brain functions, his reasonableness is not confirmed.

As a rule, SCP-096 is extremely calm, the pressure sensors in the chamber indicate that he spends most of the day walking along the eastern wall. However, when someone sees the face of SCP-096, whether it is directly, on video, or even in a photograph, they come to a state of extreme emotional experience. SCP-096 covers his face with his hands and begins to scream, cry and mumble indistinctly. Approximately one to two (1-2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 runs to the person who saw his face (hereinafter referred to as SCP-096-1).

The documented speed varies from 35 to ███ km/h, and apparently depends on the distance to SCP-096-1. At the moment, no known material or method can interfere with the movement of SCP-096. The actual location of SCP-096-1 has no apparent effect on SCP-096's reaction; it appears to have an innate sense of SCP-096-1's location. Note: this reaction does not appear when looking at artistic images (see document 096-1).

Upon arrival at the location of SCP-096-1, SCP-096 proceeds to kill and [DATA DELETED] SCP-096-1. In 100% of cases, no trace of SCP-096-1 remains. After that, SCP-096 sits down for a few minutes before regaining his composure and becoming obedient. Then it will try to return to its natural habitat, [DATA DELETED].

Due to the possibility of a massive chain reaction, including a violation of the secrecy of the Organization and heavy losses among civilians, the search for the subject should be assigned Alpha priority.

Dr. ███ also petitioned for the immediate destruction of SCP-096 (see interview 096-1). The order is awaiting confirmation. The destruction order has been confirmed and must be executed by the doctor ███ [DATA DELETED]. See Incident Report 096-1-A.

Captain █████████: Looking for an object for the first time always sucks. You have no idea what the damn thing is capable of, except for the meager information that the techies have scraped together, and you're lucky if you've been told the whole story at all. Doctor: Could you describe the mission, please?

Captain █████████: Yeah, sorry. We had two helicopters, one with my team and one backup with Zulu 9-B and Doctor ██████. We spotted a target two kems north of our route. I don't think he was looking in our direction, otherwise he would have dealt with us back then.

Dr. ███: Does your report say that SCP-096 did not react to the cold? It was -██ about C.
