DISCLAMER

This is probably one of most stupid tutorial ever, because i believe that in 2022, after more than ten years of release Half-Life 2 things must not work like that (sorry for bad English). However, in my case that was the only way. If you read this - for you too, i suppose. So let's go.

PREAMBULA
------------------------

1. At first - forget all this sh*t about /sourcemods or standalone smod version. This is not our case. This is not works.
   
2. You need to install Half-Life Lost Coast, Half-Life Lost Deathmatch and Source SDK 2006. No exceptions.
   
3. We will run smodredux on Source SDK 2006 - this is a main thing. Version of smod in my case was 10v2, but in the main menu it's 8. Do not any clue why, but that more important - this is irrelevant, because we just want to play.
   
4. Download and install GCF Space[gamebanana.com] No exception also.

INSTRUCTION
------------------------

1. Navigate to DISK:/Yourdirectory/Steam/steamapps/common/Source SDK Base
   
2. Unpack smodredux folder to /Source SDK Base
   
3. Navigate to DISK:/Yourdirectory/Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life 2 and open hl2_pak_dir.vpk in GCF Space, find scenes and maps folders.
   
4. Extract both to DISK:/Yourdirectory/Steam/steamapps/common/Source SDK Base/hl2
   
5. In Steam, open properties of the game (by RMB click on Source SDK Base icon) then write:
   
   -game smodredux
   
   to parameters field.
   
6. Voila! Smod running now. Why - i don't know, like also i don't know why the hell when i create a .bat file in the /Source SDK Base directory with the same string content it is NOT WORK. WHY?! Irrelevant, if this tutorial helps to you.
   
7. Proof that method works (with little changes irrelevant to process)
