yup, it's a source model

Basically, a guy I watch ripped the model before it was lost to time, ported it to the source format.. and publicly released it along with Coyote Tango on DeviantART. He's also publicly released a custom Gipsy Danger he made, Atlas Destroyer from the anime series

And he's finishing up on a custom Crimson Typhoon as we speak

In terms of it being an effect to pose.
