@your average engineer, I would encourage you to just add a decor here and there. You can start with simple and eventually move to more detailed builds as you get more familiar and have faster workflows. I usually work from mimic then convert since I find mimic far easier to work with. My builds don't take too long since I mostly use existing meshes that are fit for purpose rather than hand craft absolutely everything.
