the story of Tu-144: the french were developing the Concorde and the Soviets wanted to beat them first so they were spying them. Once the french knew, they started to feed the Russians with false information. This led to the development of Tupolev. There were major flaws added to the design. The Russians didn't see anything and flew the plane, which crashed on its first inaugural flight. The French went on and delivered the most beautiful super sonic commercial plane ever.
