Introduction
In this guide, I will talk about the gameplay basics of GDiva. These are required to get a better understanding of how to play. If you have played any Hatsune Miku Project DIVA game, you can skip this whole guide.
Pressing buttons
Based (hehe based) on whether the gdiva_graph console variable is set to 1 or 0, you'll either have PlayStat1on or XB0x looking buttons.

Pressing the respective button on your controller will give you score based on the timing of the button press. The "ratings" for the button presses are in this order, from best to worst:
COOL - On time
GOOD - Just about right
SAFE - Take it like a 100 in osu!, an "eh"
BAD - Self-explanatory
AWFUL - Complete miss or the wrong button was pressed

There is a special button, which represents the flick of a joystick.

This button looks the same, no matter the console variable mentioned at the top of this section.
Loading charts
To actually play GDiva, you need "charts", which are files with all the information to produce the gameplay. If someone has uploaded any on the internet (which are hopefully ZIP archives containing a background, song and chart file, or just the chart file without being archived), you can put them in this folder:
SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/data/gdiva-charts

If you cannot find any charts, you can make your own using the Chart Editor

After you get some charts, you can open the Chart Menu and load them, or test them if you loaded them in your editor.
