Introduction
This guide will show you how to use the Chart Editor of GDiva to create your own charts.
By the end of this guide, you will learn the basics of the editor.
The barebones
Let's start by opening the editor.
Open the Spawnmenu, then on the menu on the right, go to Utilities > GDiva
Afterwards, press the button in the middle.

Once you press that, a dialog box will pop up, prompting you to put in an audio file. By default, it will type out the path to Brane Scan by Valve
You can also load songs from the data folder if there are any.

After you put a file that can be played by the Source Engine, the editor will open up.

1 - The position of the cursor and the last object you placed
2 - The seekbar, which shows the current position in the song. You can change it by scrolling using the number slider, either with precision or without
3 - The menu bar, containing essential functions, like saving, loading, testing, etc.

You can seek through the song using the number slider at the bottom. Holding the left click on the empty part of the progress bar will scroll with precision.
Moving your mouse up and down during precision seeking will decrease or increase the precision.

A click of any mouse button will add a new button at that position in time.
WARNING! A mouse with 5 buttons is required to place all possible buttons!

Pressing R removes the last button placed.
WARNING! Buttons MUST be placed in the order they appear on screen!

Each number is the respective button on your mouse in order to place that button.
Metadata editing

This is the Metadata editor. Here you can change essential details about the chart.

File operations

You can save your charts by pressing the Save button in the File tab of the menu bar.
This will be placed in the gdiva-charts folder inside of the data folder of Garry's Mod

You can also load already existing charts over the current sound
WARNING! Loading a chart does not load the sound!

Alongside saving and loading, you can also test the chart you just made without quitting the editor and saving the chart.
