Description
A box, a button and a laser.

Brutally simple and brutally difficult (I hope).

That was hard. I figured out the laser had to go through the portal again but gave up trying to get the right angle. When I saw your solution in the video I was surprised how close yet so far I was. It was definitely a good chamber, just beyond the average person's skill level

This puzzle stumped me but I feel as though it did only because I watched your first video. It is somewhat frustrating that this feels like a laser version of 14 buttons with only one that works. I had assumed that no, you wouldn't expect the player to sit there and guess at angles to get the laser going through until it worked, as that is exactly what you had explained as poor design. If I were to offer a solution, it would be one that is in many portal puzzles as hints; wall panels that indicate the correct placement for a portal. Having a 'place the portal here' section removes the guesswork and '14 buttons' from your puzzle while not just giving up the solution.

This is different level of thinking with portals

The process of thinking of the solution was really cool, I'd say you nailed the "aha" moment with this one. After struggling for a bit, I was very excited about the intended solution - probably because it's a very cool idea - but also because I would never have thought of this ever.

With that said, laser angles like these are... fiddly, not everyone finds that to be fun. I tolerated it, but I feel like I should acknowledge and affirm the people down below calling the gimmick "tedious".

I disagree with the idea that this level is tedious, because there's almost nothing to do but think of the solution. You shouldn't die and if you do, restarting the level takes all of 10 seconds to get back to where you were previously. I don't get how someone wasted ten minutes lining it up perfectly after understanding the solution from your video, it takes less than a minute to solve when you know the solution. The solution isn't something gimmicky or tedious, it's as straight to the point as humanly possible and the real challenge is just thinking about how a line works with portals.

Using lasers in this way is totally fine, I think most of these people just aren't very good with laser solving puzzles and struggle with spacial visualization or how the game orients portals based on the way the player is facing. I watched your first video and enjoyed that puzzle as well. Keep doing what you're doing, I'd love to play more puzzles by you!

So the correct solution is not riding the lazer beam to the exit like a spicy zip-line . I'll keep that in mind. Still a fun shortcut and easy to patch out if you don't want it.

Solved as intended, but a bit tedious.

realy good chamber but this is for portal 2 big thinkers defantly not my brain to handle

I ended up with a totally different solution that involved dropping the cube through a portal on the slope onto the switch. I then watched your video for the proper solution.
