Amalgamation: Adversary Primary Specialization

Description
This mod adds a brand new (and slightly rarer) primary Amalgamation specialization that aims to offer a more mobile alternative to the usual Squadsight-toting sharpshooter, implemented through an unique focus ability that discourages overuse.

How does it play?
The Adversary starts battle with a single point of momentum, an effective -2 malus to mobility. They gain a point every turn, with mobility breaking even at two points and then picking up speed (+1 mobility) at three and beyond, scaling all the way up to +5 at the 7 point limit.

Sitting and waiting may seem tempting, but an Adversary that plays it too safe will quickly find themselves unable to support their team, forced to rely on merely adequate aim growths and not having access to the traditional sniper's Squadsight (!) nor their offensive abilities.

Momentum skills and action economy are where the Adversary's real strengths come in. Want to line up that perfect shot? Spend 2 points to grapple onto a nearby roof or railing, or run into cover and pop off a Snap Runeshot at full accuracy and damage. Need something gone? Blast it with Storm Runeshot, or chain into it with Burial Shot or Compensation.

Sprinkle in some close-range gusto (go shotgun sniper go), and you have a mobile marksman that dodges and weaves into and out of battle as required, ever the opportunist. Just try not to spend all your points in one place, lest you find yourself surrounded and exhausted!

NOTE: Focus, momentum and mana are effectively the same thing. Ability descriptions may be a bit confusing, I'll clean those up in the next XAaA update.

How balanced is it?
We should be roughly at the default Sharpshooter's level, but I'm still getting a feel for things. A fully-loaded Adversary is a force to be reckoned with, but requires smart use of focus and its action economy to really shine.

Special thanks:
  • h4ilst0rm and TePª for the original Amalgamation Classes mod.
  • Mitzruti for the enormous Mitzruti perk pack and Isms' Natural Born Killer in specific, being the base for our squaddie focus ability.
  • Ketaros, for the excellent sprite pack from which this spec grabs its icon.
  • All the other perk pack people. Wouldn't be able to do this without them.

It's out! Got a few more serious changes here -- Ex-Lancer/Infiltrator/Biotic/Blademaster are now allowed (decent mix, and we needed the rarity buff), but Keeper has been removed. (extra grapples make us a bit too good)

As always, check out the changelog for more info.

Heads up: Got a rarity pass for a bunch of my specs coming up at some point in the next week. The huge influx of new/changed specs over the past year or so has been great, but has also thrown a lot of older specs out of whack.

These changes are likely going to break some classes in ongoing campaigns, sorry! If you notice any characters that did lose their class, use my Console Helper's RandomizeClass command with one or more old specs, or (temporarily) remove the new exclusions in the matching spec's XComAmalgamation.ini file. (they'll be clearly marked as being new)

Interesting concept. Thanks

Fairly big update today! Reworked the spec's leading perk a bit so it's more punishing at the low end, but also has more room to grow. Also upped aim growths to make the class more useful with default sniper rifles. (though I'd still recommend something like my Mass Effect Weapon Overhaul to get more choices)
