Opening the console.
  • Start half-life and make sure to have the console enabled.
    (the console can be enabled via settings.)
  • Press the tilde (~) key to open the console. Which is right below your ESC key. (same for Mac)

Thats it. Now it is time for the actual commands.
A list containing most of the commands.
Now that you know how to enable the console, its time to imput some commands on it.

Remember that you need to input the command sv cheats 1 before you enter any of the following commands (REMINDER : Dont input the slash (/) or else the commands wont work.)

Effects
/sv_gravity <-999 - 999999>
Changes the gravity by the desired amount.
/impulse 195; /impulse 196; /impulse 197; /impulse 199
Gives AI Node information.
/impulse 101
Grants the user every weapon including ammo. (yes that makes weapon bar go up lol)
/-reload
Disables auto-reload.
/+reload
Enables auto-reload.
/impulse 109
Controls on-screen monsters (?)
/impulse 203
Deletes NPCs/Monsters
/developer 0
Turns off Developer Mode.
/developer 1
Turns on Dev mode.
/god
Pretty self explanatory.
/impulse 104
Lists global entities.
/map <map name>
Map selection. (you can teleport to the end of the game lmao.)
/impulse 106
Model/sprite stats while looking at target.
/impulse 103
Monster stats while looking at monster.
/noclip
Pass through walls (except bullets.)
/notarget
Opponents ignore the player.
/thirdperson
Enables third-person view.
/firstperson
Returns you to first-person view.
/lambert -1.0001
See things brightly without the flashlight. (kinda like night vision.)
/rate <0-3500>
Set reload speed (0 is fastest, 3500 is default).
/impulse 105
Silent player. (removes the player grunts and footsteps sounds.)
/impulse 202
Spawns blood.
/impulse 76
Spawns a human grunt.
/impulse 102
Spawns gibs and blood.
/speak <word>
Speak the specified word. (mostly used in servers.)
/speak <word.word2.word3>
Speak the specified sentence.
/r_fullbright 9
Enables strange colors and wireframes.
/kill
Commit suicide. (♥♥♥)
/impulse 107
Texture name while looking at object.
/host_framerate <0,1>
Toggles game speed.
/r_fullbright <0,1>
Toggles the light amplifier.
/developer 2
Enables Verbose Developer Mode.
/give <item name>
Obtain the specified item.
/cam_idealyaw <0 or 360> (Thanks to user is_epic_stickman for the command.)
Makes the camera behind gordons head (like thirdperson.)
/default_fov <any number> (Thanks to user B52 stealth bomber for the command.)
Changes your field of view. You can thank B52 stealth bomber later 😎

The hand gun command (and AR) doesn't work in hl:s, fix?

I don't even have Blue shift in my library 😭😭🙏 I don't know what Gearbox changed or added to the console.

Well, I guess I can make a guide, but that would require me knowing these additions, which I don't 😔.

i legit cant play it due to the fucking helmet and vest not spawning
i would love to know how to give myself those
