How to run a game on non-Japanese Windows 10/11 with a working Steam overlay

I ran into a problem running the game on Windows 10 1803 and later. There is information on the internet that the problem can be fixed by installing a Japanese localization of the system, but it sucks

1. Open Windows Control Panel and select System and Security

2. Select System

3. Select Advanced system settings

4. Select the Advanced tab in the System Properties window that opens and then select Settings under Performance

5. Select the Data Execution Prevention tab and select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select

6. Select Add and choose Memoria.exe from the game directory

7. Select Apply and OK. You must restart your computer for changes to take effect
Solution №2 (But without working Steam)
1. Open the game directory

2. Right-click Memoria.exe and select Properties from the drop-down menu

3. Select the Compatibility tab. Under Compatibility mode, check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" from the drop-down menu, then select Apply and OK
