Use your Steam version to play SA:MP with Steam counting your hours/playtime
By kaz
NOTICE: The .exe I provided is a simple .bat file converted to an .exe for easier use. IT IS NOT A CRACK AND IT DOES NOT MODIFY THE GAME IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM!

I always hated the fact that when you play SA:MP with your original copy of the game it never counts your hours so I made a pretty simple cmd file that allows you to play your original Steam version and use SA:MP at the same time which makes Steam detect your playtime.

It's a pretty simple thing to do, here are the steps:

If you don't have a downgraded version yet, then follow these instructions. I have nothing to do with this post, I'm only sharing it.

This is my file, simply replace your .exe with it, this file is just a compiled .bat file that acts as a really simple menu between SP or MP:

NOTE: In case you are wondering you do need to have both gta-sa.exe and gta_sa.exe provided in your directory for this to work.

Just an FYI; once you have downgraded your copy of San Andreas, run the custom BAT file from Steam by simply running the game and then selecting San Andreas or the Multiplayer.
