Welltaro
Playable character
A uniquely vertical character who uses a variety of spikes and downward-aimed projectiles to wrack up heavy damage! All of his projectiles, even his double jump and airdash, require ammo from his charge meter to use. You regain one ammo each time you hit an opponent and all of it when you land, so make sure to plan your moves carefully - running out of ammo while offstage can be deadly!

Assist
Fires a wide projectile straight down that knocks opponents upward. Jump above your opponent, then activate Welltaro to knock them up to you and start up a combo!

Assist functionality
When summoned as an Assist, Welltaro fires a projectile directly downward that knocks opponents upward on contact, similarly to his down aerial.

It takes 50 damage to fully charge Welltaro.
CommanderVideo
Playable character
A fast, aggressive character that dishes out a high-speed offense to overwhelm his foes! Landing a hit will let you gain a rainbow trail, while getting hit will make you lose it. This powers up his bread-and-butter move, side special: if you have a rainbow trail active, you can jump out of the slide at any time to set up tricky movement and devastating combos!

Assist
Transforms into a persistent reflector that floats in front of your character, reflecting all projectiles that come your way! This can be the perfect way to get past a sturdy projectile defense.

Assist functionality
When summoned as an Assist, CommanderVideo transforms into the paddle from BIT.TRIP BEAT, similarly to his down special move, and floats directly in front of the player for a duration of time. Any projectiles that make contact with the paddle are reflected.

It takes 100 damage to fully charge CommanderVideo.
Octodad
A tactical character that takes advantage of the unique motions and long reach that are made possible by his stretchy, flexible limbs! The tip of his arm is stronger for most attacks, so different spacing can open up new combo opportunities. This can also mean you're vulnerable to aggressive gameplay - if your opponents get too close, try using side special's armor frames to turn the tables!

Assist
Extends his arms at an upward diagonal, grabbing the first opponent he hits and flipping them around into a spike! This is a great way to knock your opponent down or start an edgeguard sequence.

Orcane
Playable character
A versatile character that can set the pace with a variety of watery stage control tools and quick combo moves! Use his neutral or down special to create a puddle, then up special to teleport to it or down special to turn into a pillar of bubbles. Strong attacks, side special, forward throw and up throw can all be used while standing on a puddle to absorb it for a boost!

Assist
Fires a stream of bubbles forward, propelling himself backward. Use the multihit bubble projectile right in front of you, or turn around right before activation to take advantage of his body hitbox!
