On 29 January 2023, Emir Ahmed a 32-year-old Takistani aid worker for IDAP was kidnapped by local Takistani militia. Mr. Ahmed was last seen transporting hospital supplies before he was ambushed somewhere near the Reegshur Valley. On 03 February 2023, a 2 minute video surfaced online of Mr. Ahmed with his captors demanding a $5 million ransom for his release.

IDAP representatives have been in contact with Ahmed’s family who made a statement on the 05 February 2023 stating: “We are doing everything within our people to secure the release of Emir. We are coordinating with the Takistani Government to ensure that everything that can be done is being called into service.” The abduction comes days after the body of deceased journalist, Omar Ali was found in the Marastar pond. It’s believed Mr Ali was executed following failed negotiations between the Takistani Government and Takistani militia.

Mr. Ahmed’s family stated they cannot afford the $5million ransom and have arrest experienced failed negotiations between the militia. Fearing his fate may follow Mr. Ali, the family have engaged IoN Services, Incorporated to assist in his release.

Two weeks ago, IoN contractors have infiltrated the small village of Imarat. A reliable source indicates Mr Ahmed is held in Garmarud, a village known for its staunch loyalty to the militia. Additionally, the source states due to failed negotiations, the militia intend to live stream his beheading this evening. IoN Services have advised the family of an opportunity to conduct a rescue operation to secure Mr Ahmed. The family, desperate for his release have requested IoN to execute the action plan.

ISSUE:
Emir AHMED (HOSTAGE) is suspected of being held captive by the local Takistani militia (ENEMY) in the small village of GARMARUD.

BACKGROUND:
The HOSTAGE, a contract truck driver for IDAP was abducted by the ENEMY. Intel suggests HOSTAGE is still alive awaiting execution this evening. The HOSTAGE is believed to be held in a central part of the village with boarded up windows.

COMMENT:
Given the imminent execution of the HOSTAGE the situation is time sensitive. The village is well fortified. The ENEMY is on high alert with rumours of “outsiders” being sighted in the area. Expect CQB. Expect IEDs. The village should be clear of civilians. However, exercise caution and discretion.

TASK:
Proceed to GARMARUD. Confirm status of HOSTAGE. If alive, escort HOSTAGE to GARMSAR for extraction. If deceased, proceed to GARMSAR for extraction.
