READ THIS FIRST!!: So i did some testing and apparently this mod works well with [WOS] Dynabase, although i recommend using Dynabase if you're using wOS addons alongside xdR addons, BUT you MUST unsubscribe to the XDR BASE ADDON AND WOS FULL BASE, because Dynabase already has it integrated in their base.


--> If you're not using Dynabase, then you should ONLY subscribe to xDR Base and wOS Base code version but the recent January 2024 update for some reason broke it (tested it myself) so i recommend using Dynabase instead


DESCRIPTION:

So someone else already has made this animation (Also on the L4D2 platform made by xdshot himself) but I got the animation from this https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2838150377 so credits goes to Adrian. I only wanted to integrate the animation into xdR base without breaking other animations as well, soooo here you are! I tried my best and I guess it all worked out for me I guess.


(THIS does not include the MUSIC "California Gurls" like in the video above, I have NO IDEA how to add the music myself)


This animation takes slot 026 both m anims and f anims, in other words "act_dance"

Known bugs:
For some reason for (female playermodels or other male playermodels I presume) some of their body parts are stretched (neck, hands or legs) (you can see it on some of the screenshots above), that is because the animation model i used came from the Male Model, which i also used for the same animation for the female anims as well, so it i guess it turned up like that (I have the female version animation but I don't like it because the female animation version itself makes the model look like its floating like bobbing up or down while dancing).

How do you use it?
- Well you can just type act dance in the console (open console by pressing ~ or `) or you can use a quick gesture tab addon like this https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=145939873, or you can bind a key to it by typing into the console (example: bind m "act dance")

[Update #1] : T pose at the end is finally gone! , Now you can spam the dance as much as you want without any problems! :)




INCOMPATIBLE ADDONS:

Custom Taunt --> the original custom taunt breaks wos and xdr bases as a whole (from what i tested it). and also custom taunt has a lot of dance animations it will pretty much decrease the chances of you dancing the animation, because of the tons of animations put in the custom taunt addon.

[wOS] Animation Extension - Base (Full Version) --> This breaks xdR base itself, rendering most of the animations unplayable.



INCOMPATIBLE ADDONS IF YOU'RE USING DYNABASE:

xdReanims - Because the dynabase addon already has it integrated

The addons mentioned above also applies to this too ^^, so make sure to unsubscribe to them because it will break this and other animations / render it not working



QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Q: Does this work with other animation addons?
A: As far as i know wOS animations can work well with this addon. BUT i should recommend using the dynabase addon if you want to use wOS addons (wOS custom taunt, Blade symphony, etc).

Q: Will you be adding the California Girls music?
A: Sorry to say, but no, because i have NO IDEA how. But if someone is willing to teach me how, then i'll gladly put it in.

Q: Are you gonna keep this addon up to date?
A: I'm really sorry but no, since this is the only best i can do when it comes to coding. But if someone is willing to update this addon/polish it, then i'll gladly hand it over to them

Q: The animation doesnt work, help!
A: Either you have other animation addons that conflicts with this addon (see incompatible addons above), or you have installed the wrong addon requirements for this addon. I suggest doing some tests and investigations and pinpoint which addon is causing it to break. SInce i'm never gonna update this addon, but im sorry this is the only advice i can give you to.

Q: How do i dance?
A: Please seriously read the description but anyway just type act dance into the console or bind a key to it (example: bind m "act dance") I already mentioned this above.

Q: Can you do some other animations as well / Can you do some requests?
A: Sadly no, this is going to be my FIRST and LAST addon. Unless something piqued my interest but the chances of me doing other animations are very unlikely. I have absolutely no knowledge when it comes to coding lol.





Comment down below if you have addons that conflicts with this addon although I will give advice on how to fix it but Im gonna leave this addon as is (means im not going to update it any further)

In case you're wondering how other npcs are dancing up like in the screenshots its because they are bots, well Zeta Bots/Lambda Players actually (this animation works with Zeta/Lambda Bots as well because the animation is INTENDED for PLAYERMODELS to USE NOT NPCS) , because its super funny and that is one of the reasons why I made this mod hehe.
