Tips & tricks you might've missed (version: hopefully a final overhaul)

Nifty stuff that for now isn't explained anywhere except as a mouth to mouth lore and forum posts.

Most important upgrade
The second item from the top doesn't only "improve" your ultimate ability - when you first purchase it, it unlocks it.
Your ultimate ability is time slowdown in its first iteration. Upgrade will turn it into a Superhot-like bullettime.
It recharges by killing enemies and you can see its current charge as a thin line above your shield.
Reload animation cancelling
You can gain precious seconds during reload by switching to a different weapon at the right moment: exactly when the new clip gets pushed into the weapon. This allows you to skip all subsequent animation.

Freerun looting
You don't have to stop and use containers to loot them - shoot them from a distance (use your Ultimate Ability if you have trouble aiming) and slide or fly nearby to pickup loot.
Orange lamps (guaranteed key drops)
Orange lamp is not always in the same location - but the placement of all lamps is fixed.
If you memorize all the points where you find hanging shut off lamps, the orange one is bound to be in one of those points.
Alternate loadouts
You can start with alternate loadouts than your gun.
To do that, you need to open collected card packs (drops randomly as loot). You can see the number of packs you have collected in your Tab menu, among icons on the bottom - it is the second icon from the left. Pull with the mouse on the left hole to rip it open.

To choose a loadout, just use the terminal that appears near the spawn in the hub. Can't miss it.
Dual wielding
You can dual wield handguns by pressing 'C'.
You select which weapons to dualwield in your Tab menu, by RMB clicking on the weapon. Red is your left hand, green is your right hand.
If you hold RMB, you will drop the selected weapon.
Overshield
Overshield is the amount of non-regenerable shield you can append on top of your normal shield - it shows as a yellow charge on top of your white charge. You can fill it up fully by collecting the Overcharge powerup, or in smaller increments as drops from enemies.
Town portal
You can return to hub by collecting Hub scrolls, and you will need to clear out a whole level in order to do that.
This can be an alternate (or only) way to upgrade your basic weapons, and sometimes you will find Vines and bags of keys on sale as well. Scrolls aren't exactly plentiful, but you can always get more drops so use them when you feel underpowered, or you have extra shards and no nice things to buy in bunkers.
Kick speed burst (tnx @CharmQuark)
While airborne, performing a melee attack on a surface will push you off it, consume a dash charge, and refresh your double jump - acting as a sort of jump.
Doing this at the right angle after a slide or a wall run, will launch you forward at high speed.

Most important action move, ever
You can perform a sommersault. Or more of them. Just pitch your mouse as much as you want and nail those headshots while upside down.

Parting tips
  • Dash preserves your momentum while changing your direction towards the cursor. Use it to align yourself through narrow passages while aerial. Sliding preserves your momentum and slowly decelerates you, so slide whenever you run out of dashes or jumps and have to touch the ground
  • Each dash recharges one of your jumps. With the full dash upgrades, you can dash three times, which means some serious air time: jump -> jump -> dash -> jump -> dash -> jump -> dash -> jump
  • You are much harder to hit while freerunning, so use it to recharge your shield, and combine this with Ultimate Ability for practical invincibility
  • Correctly activated C4 can give you a massive boost of speed
  • Shield bubble constantly heals you, so its probably a better investment than a Stim. Also cool when you want to take a mob of Razers mano-a-mano.
  • You can BABE a weapon twice
  • BABEd Assault Shotgun is practically a showstopper - obtaining this, you will practically have to choose to die to end your run.
  • Spend 500 shards on temporary health upgrade chest whenever you can; aside upgrading health, you can also upgrade your shield and overcharge
  • Dungeons (a portal you can find, that costs 1000shards to open) are a great way to farm Vines - just bring some serious firepower and be prepared to fight tough baddies in cramped environments
  • Melee attacks do not interrupt weapon reload (tnx @Texas)
  • Hopping to a slide on the staircase, then hopping off will give you pretty huge speed boost. Try it out in the perma upgrade shrine, you can cover the entire distance from spawnpoint to the sphere, and then some (tnx @kosiarn)

Nah man, guide is a bit outdated. Terminal moved next to the "difficulty eye oltar", and as the sign says - will be moved to the inside of the bar eventually.

Thanks. I was expecting it to be something simple I was overlooking, and it was exactly that.

Hey @Detharis - just hold the mouse button for like a second. You will see a thin "charging" line around the card. I assume this is done to prevent clicking something by mistake.

This was really helpful for the most part, but I'm still confused on how to make use of gear cards. I'm able to open the card packs without issue, though at the loadout terminal I don't know how to actually equip and use them. It's really annoying having all these cool card starter packs, but not knowing the way to actually use the guns they provide. Do I just click it? Because that doesn't seem to work for me, and if there's another way I don't know it.

@machinedgod Thanks a lot. But the first option looks more interesting. I'll do my best

Alternatively (forgot to add, can't edit comments, big sad):
join Discord and ask Low Hanging Testicles dev nicely, and he'll add the option in the menu.
