Notes
  • Unfortunately, at the moment only one person can use the spreadsheet at a time without interfering with another persons tinkering. Googlesheets doesn't have a "View-Only" option that allows viewers to interact with the drop down menus. I say "at the moment" meaning Google hasn't made this possible thus far so it's probably never coming. The best option is to just download it through the link for your personal use.

  • You will need a Google drive account to use it ideally, though. Until I make some changes in on-going versions, this sheet is not that user friendly in other apps such as LibreOffice, Excel, ect. To use this sheet with Googlesheets, Save As .xlsx format.

  • I plan to make a brigade planner as well within the current spreadsheet, but that will come with time (if at all) as I become more familiar with the game and figure out the best way to do that.
Character Building

To explain how to use the spreadsheet, I will briefly go into character building for those unfamiliar.

First off, no matter how many Soul Transfers you do.. There will always be 4 important decisions to plan around as your foundation. These being your:

  • Initial Class: Which always gets a 75% discount on it's skills.

  • Final Class: Or, your "current" class. Which always gets a 66% discount on all it's
    skills.

  • Synergistic Soul Transfer: Meaning you probably want your Final Class to be
a "same class" type to something you have in your Soul Transfer history. For instance (Aster Crow, Aster Ashe).

  • Unique Skill: Is the skill you chose when making the puppet for your Final
Class/Current Class that will always be at a 100% discount.

Initial Class: Is probably your most important decision. There really isn't a reason not to have both versions of a class in your Soul Transferring process, and your Initial Class almost always wants to be something different than the two Class versions you plan to end on - for instance (Shinobushi, Aster Crow/Aster Ashe.) This is because your Initial Class will always get a 75% discount on it's skills no matter what class you Soul Transfer into.

Final Class: Is obviously what character you plan to end on, and can Soul Transfer into itself repeatedly until you're at Soul Clarity 99+. All references to Final Class are one in the same to references of "current" class. This is important because your current class will always have a 66% discount on it's skills.

Synergistic Soul Transfer: The Synergistic Soul Transfer is a reference to having the counterpart version to your Final Class in your Soul Transfer history. This is because you get all 4 innate skills for free, which is incredibly powerful.

Example:
  • Shinobushi's Two Innate Skills: Skill Costs - Dark Remnants (50), Dual Flower EX (50)

  • Aster Crow's Two Innate Skills: Skill Costs - Star Burst (50), Stubbornness (50)

  • Aster Ashe's Two Innate Skills: Skill Costs - Blunt Lamp (50),Firm Mind (50)

If your Initial Class was Shinobushi, you Soul Transferred to Aster Crow as your Synergistic Soul Transfer, then transferred to Aster Ashe as your Final Class (which is of similar Class Type to Aster Crow as well as getting your Unique Skill choice).. Your final skill costs would be:

Dark Remnants (13)
Dual Flower EX (13)
Star Burst (0)
Stubbornness (0)
Blunt Lamp (0)
Firm Mind (0)
Unique Skill (0)

If we change the order in this Soul Transferring process then we wouldn't get Shinobushi's Innate's (or any of it's other skills) at a discount. Hypothetically, if you had a build in mind using this exact setup in Shinobushi, Aster Crow, and Aster Ashe and the Soul Transferring history is this:

Initial: Aster Crow > Soul Transfer > Shinobushi > Soul Transfer > Final: Aster Ashe.

Your final skill costs would be:

Dark Remnants (50)
Dual Flower EX (50)
Star Burst (0)
Stubbornness (0)
Blunt Lamp (0)
Firm Mind (0)
Unique Skill (0)

All other Soul Transfers other than these 3 choices will be at full price, but become way more affordable with this proper setup.

Spreadsheet and How to Use

Layout

The only sections you need to physically interact with are the orange cells with the drop down menus. Everything else is for your reference after it finishes pulling information.

Class Selection

The first thing you want to do is plan the build you want to make. Once you have a rough idea, choose your initial class, final class, and any other classes/skills you want to grab from Soul Transfer drop down menus. Only track each class once. The spreadsheet is only meant to grab the skill point costs - not the entire Soul Transferring process. "Group" isn't relevant information.

Skill Selection

Once you have your class build included, start picking out the skills you plan to use with this drop down menu. The Unique Skill menu will be the skill you choose to be free when selecting your Final/Current class.

Build Cost and Type

After your skills are decided, this information will be present aside from "Type."

  • Type: - Is the role you plan for the puppet to be within the brigade, either support or attacker. This menu serves no other function within the spreadsheet itself. It's solely meant to be a reminder for if you go idle.

  • Skill Point Total: When you have all of your Soul Transfers laid on the spreadsheet, this number represents the cumulative total cost from each skill that will be available to your puppet. It tracks each discount column which serves as the final cost whether the skill was discounted or not. You'll never be able to equip everything, it was primarily an artifact left over from making the spreadsheet and I just left it there for funsies.

  • Build Skill Cost: This is the number that's important, it tracks the skills you picked from the "Skill Selection" menu. It looks for if the class is chosen, and if the class is chosen is the skill on the information below, if yes than it'll pull the cost from the discount column. So primarily it let's you know how expensive the build is going to be once built.

Skill Reference

Lastly, this is mainly for lookup purposes for myself.. But handy to see all of the skills available to you for reference when selecting skills.

Of course, I love this series. This system is definitely better in a lot of ways, as opposed to Refrain with it's very limited selection..

But here there is so many choices and kind of just dumps everything on you when Soul transferring which I wish was a little more thought out/refined. Just trying to make all of it a little more organized with this spreadsheet, and will be updating it to be more streamlined with anything I can think of overtime.

No problem, appreciate the work on the spreadsheet. Tis a great help.

Fixed, appreciate you pointing that out.

Seems to be based on which "soul transfer" slot you place it in. The discount shows on the first two transfer slots, but not the last two.

Ah ok. Hmm, I just checked and looking at it right now - it works for me. Double check and let me know if it's still happening for you.

On the spreadsheet. Don't know if it's a consistent issue, the similar class discount is working between Magia maid and Concierge, but I wasn't getting it on charriot to fortress.

Ok, now I really am confused what's going on haha. Are we talking about in the game or on the spreadsheet? Because in the game, I have a Peer Chariot of which I Soul Transferred into Fortress at least once and I have both the skill-sets from each at a discount. Soo, i'm not really sure what's happening here.
URARARARARARARARARARARARARARAK 11 Mar, 2023 @ 5:02pm
Yeah, I just ran into that issue using the guide/spreadsheet. Setting final class as Peer fortress doesn't give the discount for peer chariot skills.

Ah, I gotcha now. Interesting, I didn't see the game reference the different variations as Sun/Moon. I think in this guide I even just called it "variations" or something like that. I clearly was easily confused by that thinking you were talking about the stances lol.
