You need to romanticise the bird by dancing in front of it. If this doesnt work you need to progress and feed it the eggs to make it love you.

If you have done step 1 correctly then the bird will proceed to chase you on these platforms instead of dropping it instantly, allow it to follow very closely behind you, and pull the switch as it goes on the other platform. Once accomplished you need to sprint to the exit of the ball-pit. If the bird does not follow you through the exit but is still there stuck inside the exit, you win. It does not want you to go close but you can now breed with the bird.
