INTERGALACTIC SPORTS

What would sapient life be like without sports? With Intergalactic Sports, you won't have to find out.

This mod adds event chains where colonists on one of your planets invent a new sport. Follow the ebbs and flows of the sport's popularity over the years as you send your leaders to compete for the chance at powerful rewards -- or fatal consequences.

This mod currently adds 2 sports to the galaxy:
PODRACING: For Humans, Mammalians, and Reptilians
LIGHTCYCLE RACING: For Machine empires

I'll continue updating this mod with thematically appropriate sports for other species over time. Next on the docket is Blitzball.

This is a fun mod for certain but I feel like the time limit is too restrictive for the races for when this comes up in the early game. On larger galaxy sizes it can take double the time offered in order to just reach the location so I miss out on most of the races simply because I can't get my fleet to the location fast enough. Maybe make the timer the same duration as debris fields?

I don't know how this would really work, but, all that pops into my head is rainbow road from mario kart on top of all the other suggestions.

This would synergize well with an origin based on the alien precursor from Hot Wheels Acceleracers/World Race. They literally built race tracks across the universe and even in space just to have more fun
