Interactions
By Revmatek
This guide briefly covers a core mechanic in the game loosely know as "interaction-mode". The purpose of this mode is to allow free form distance based interaction with objects in the environment relative to the current controlled object (Nautikin, Vessel, Crane etc.) and the desired object.

Note: Consult the controls / keybindings for exact button per platform.

Moving the mouse around while in this mode will allow you to left and right click on options and start different types of interactions based on the type of interaction

Note: While this mode is active movement may change based on the context
Interaction types
There are various things in the environment you can interact with, here are some examples
  • Nautikins for inventories
  • Various parts when vessels are deployed, such as Anchors or Sails
  • Dropped items
  • Containers that can be secured
  • Buy shacks
  • Ropes

In general interactables support 1 or more types of interaction, namely
  • Left-click (Activate)
  • Right-click (Context options)

Each interactable will display different options based on the context or perform different actions when activated.
Notes
Nautikins can interact the furthest when they are not holding any items in their hands. When you have an item in your hand such as a harpoon launcher or a welder your interaction distance will be reduced.
