The BRUTE is a HEAVY type class in Tribes: Ascend.

"A HEAVY HITTER WITH STRONG BUT BASIC WEAPONS,
THE BRUTE PREFERS A DIRECT APPROACH TO COMBAT,
SOAKING UP DAMAGE AND DISHING OUT PUNISHMENT."

The Spinfuser is no doubt, the most famous weapon in the Tribes series...therefore, I will not spend a lot of time on it. Basic info about the spinfuser is that it shoots 1 disc per fire, the disc does have splash damage. Due to the fast speed of skiing+jetpack combos, you never want to shoot the disc exactly where the enemy is, but where they WILL be when the disc would make contact.

The Brute's secondary weapon is the Automatic Shotgun, a close ranged weapon. The shotgun has a spread burst so you want to be close to the enemy when you fire, to inflict maximum damage.


A quick close-ranged attack I found was a quick fire of the shotgun followed by an immidiate melee attack, a instant kill on Light and Medium classes.

The Brute's Fractal Grenade, when thrown, fires many projectiles causing damage with each blast before exploding. Like any grenade, the best place to throw it would be in an area with multiple enemies.
WARNING: The projectiles can damage both enemies AND yourself...so try and stay back when you throw it, or you might end up killing yourself...
