This is just a campaign design made for a friend's series. I figured I would upload it for your amusement.

Also, I've noticed that you can actually still give feedback to the developers, but through discussions, instead of replies to posts.
Perhaps it would be worth voicing such concerns?

If you've made a good game, good the point that it's stood for 10 years, there's something to be said for just... Leaving it alone.

I hate it, because I never thought a good game would die 10 years after being released because the dev team started making awful choices.

Yeah they published the new 'plasma weapons' with basically zero testing or balancing, and then died of cringe. Its no surprise the global player counts are in the triple and double digits regularly.

Also... the flagrant plagiarism DLC among other things. Clearly just cash grab.

But the worst problem, on top of everything you mentioned, is that they have cut off all feedback from their Steam users.
They don't like that people don't like their decisions, so instead of fixing them, they choose to deny people the ability to comment on them.

Yeah CRAMs became an utter joke, and what little utility they still have got further nerfed by making it so they can't pack pellets during their normal 'reload' period.

APS is mechanically rather dumb - because of "autoloader spam" - and most ammo types are basically worthless, but at least it succeeds where CRAMs fail; which is actually hitting targets at range accurately, and having reloading times that are less than an hour. Sure frag meta I guess was 'overpowered' but that's only because every other damage type was underpowered as hell, and when they buffed HEAT by changing it's damage simulation and allowing it to damage armor blocks, they basically just turned HEAT into pre-nerf FRAG (Also for some reason HEAT shells do not suffer from sympathetic detonation, unlike FRAG shells - which unintentionally makes designs using HEAT even better now as they have much better survivability from ammo detonation).

However I'm still annoyed that large gauge HE is now worthless ( because of changes to armor damage reduction, sure it's almost sort of more 'realistic' but now what's the point of things like HE and FRAG when there's no such thing as infantry in this game? ). Plus the fact that all this time kinetic damage has been utterly shafted, making solid shells / sabots / railguns pointless, the only thing that makes kinetic relatively competitive is if you use hollow-point and then optimize for absurd muzzle velocities but even then it falls short of pre-nerf Frag and HEAT / HESH.

Detection system is halfbaked and mostly pointless, 'stealth' doesn't exist, there is no real strategy to detection it's just a bunch of parts you have to spam everywhere to make the AI suck less at aiming. It honestly seems like it was just an excuse to 'nerf' designs that relied upon AI accuracy at long range.

Missiles were 'improved' but at the cost of making gantries ridiculously overpriced and their accuracy worse. (One of the only benefits of missiles was that they actually hit things despite being relatively low damage compared to other weapons at the time.) Not to mention how annoying enemy laser-anti-missile is in it's flawless defense making the larger missiles sometimes pointless, and the fact that they nerfed torpedo's explosive damage bonus means there's really little incentive to using them now besides that.

Aircraft got nerfed into oblivion with jet physics changes, and then by the fuel & ammo "simplification" which made resource storage too space inefficient for aircraft to be able to keep themselves fueled and armed (Especially when combined with the reload cost increases of missiles).

Steam engines are still king after they ruined fuel engines, the new 'jet turbines' are interesting in concept but in execution they are too space inefficient and don't even make very much power for the cost.

PACs have always been a joke gimmick weapon, and lasers have been utterly untouched for years despite being horribly outdated.
