“The streets are deserted. Tension clouds the entire city like a thick smoke. We’ve been attacked before, and our scouts indicate an even bigger assault will be let loose on our humble stead. Outside our city walls, refugees flee in terror.

The Gold Legion is coming. We hardly know what they are capable of except that they have destroyed multiple outposts under our control so far. They seem to be attracted to gold, which puts our city in immediate danger.

We are counting on you to keep the population safe. It is regretful you are brought out of retirement but there is yet one battle left to accomplish. We are counting on you.” - Letter from Farenthal, Wirgren lieutenant

This is a large scale battle/tower defence map. Taking place in the ancient Wirgren monarchy city, the player has the home court advantage. Serving as a general, you may take control of both the tactical situation on the ground or maintain city logistics from a sky view. On the ground, you can directly engage the enemy with any weapons available and assist allies. In the sky, you can manage all of the city defences which include:

-Building multiple tiers of defensive towers
-Upgrading towers with more firepower
-Ordering city militia to engage and distract enemy forces
-Operating heavy trap emplacements

City defences will be unlocked over time as more waves are defeated.

The Wirgren vanguard wizards have employed portals in key places on the ground for you to switch between ground combat and sky logistics:


-Green portals transport you up to sky view
-Red portals transport you down to the city grounds

The primary goal to achieve victory is to hold out long enough against the enemy attack and to deplete all of their reserves. It is estimated they will attempt a massive breach of the front city gates. City militia has attempted to block their path in the city as much as possible but preventative action is not enough.

The enemy will likely be en route to take over key gold harvesting sites. If they reach them, they will become inoperable and city resource production inhibited (leading to inability to build and upgrade towers, or equip militias). If the Wirgren King is killed in action, Wirgren forces suffer morale defeat and the battle will be lost.

Use the tools at your disposal to stall, grind down and wipe out the enemy horde. They have the numbers but not the strategic genius. Good luck.
