Introduction
Hi there! This guide will list all the achievements in Godfall, how to unlock them, and any tips we may have for doing so. Most of Godfall's systems are fairly well-explained in-game, but there's no achievement guide out there so... why not?

Important notes:
  • Spoiler Warning! This guide might contain story spoilers such as bosses, locations, and various gameplay elements, but the story itself will not be discussed.
  • Items will have a (Type) designation unless it's a part of their name.
  • The training room cannot be used to farm achievements. Checking Merits, you'll notice how none of them increase when you try to farm something in there.
  • We did our best to group achievements together into neat sections, then rank them by unlock order and/or difficulty.
  • The images used in this guide are all either screenshots of the game or directly saved achievement icons from Steam and do not belong to us.
  • Please don't use our screenshots as references for exact keyboard presses, check your own settings to see what buttons you have assigned to which actions.
  • Use CTRL+F to find achievements.
Story
All of these achievements will unlock naturally as you progress through the story. None of them are missable- even if you skip the tutorial with Solaris, you can still fight him later in the game.

Solaris: Defeat Solaris.

This is the first boss of the game, found in the tutorial and first story mission The First Step. This mission begins as soon as you create a new character. It's also the first skippable boss, meaning that if you skip the tutorial you'll have to wait until Dreamstones are unlocked after beating the game to have a crack at this fight.

We are unsure whether fighting Solaris in the Tower of Trials will unlock the achievement, but it makes sense that it would?

Zamora: Defeat Zamora.

Zamora is the final boss of the Earth Realm, fought in the boss mission Zamora the Far-Seeing.

Lunara: Defeat Lunara.

Lunara is the final boss of the Water Realm and can be fought in the boss mission The Silver Moon.

Grieves Sunsteel: Defeat Grieves Sunsteel.

Grieves is a boss in the Air Realm and can be fought in the boss mission First of the Godsmiths.

Gilden Commander: Defeat Gilden Commander.

The Gilden Commander is a boss in the Air Realm and can be fought in the boss mission The Crucible of Souls.

Macros: Defeat Macros.

Macros is the final boss of the base game. He is found in the Air Realm and can be fought in the final boss mission, Godfall.

Flameblood Abomination: Defeat Flameblood Abomination.

The Flameblood Abomination is the first boss you fight in the Fire Realm, which you can only access after completing the base game. It's fought in the story mission Zenun's Apprentice.

Guardian Kuriakos: Defeat Guardian Kuriakos.

Guardian Kuriakos is a boss of the Fire Realm, fought in the story mission The Monolith's Depths.

High Lord Makinator: Defeat High Lord Makinator.

High Lord Makinator is a boss in the Fire Realm, fought in the story mission A Treacherous Path.

Moirax: Defeat Moirax.

Moirax is the final boss of the Fire Realm's story missions. He's the big bad lad that shows up upon starting the expansion. Fought in the boss mission The Keeper of the Night.

Kragani The Unstable: Defeat Kragani the Unstable.

Kragani is an optional boss and can be accessed at any time upon unlocking the Fire Realm. If you're already level 50 or close to it by the time you beat Macros, you can give it a try before doing the other Fire Realm bosses, or leave it for last. The boss mission that features her uses her name as the title.
Combat - Ailments P1
Ailments can only be inflicted thanks to skills or equipment and do not naturally occur just because you use a weapon with an element attached to it. Some Valorplates have Pasives or an Archon Fury that allow you to deal Ailments outside of your equipment's element. While we provide some options for inflicting each Ailment, this is by no means a comprehensive list.

Disclaimer: We don't actually know if Ailments spread via triggering an AOE count for the achievements.

  • Sword of Courage (Longsword) and Zer0 (Longsword) shoot Physical projectiles when you inflict Bleed.
  • Chisel (Longsword) grants a chance to inflict Bleed.
Combat - Ailments P2
Master of Elements: Inflict an Ailment 300 times.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. You'll get it as you play, as many Valorplates and items grant you some chance of inflicting an Ailment. If you find yourself in a position where you absolutely need to farm it rather than play naturally, we recommend using anything that inflicts Ailments on using skills, like Weapon Techniques and Shield Throws, to have a much quicker time with this.

Additional Tips
  • A Valorplate's Archon Fury overrides equipment abilities. If your Archon Fury grants a different damage type than your weapon, you'll deal that damage type, not your weapon's.
  • Secondary passives on items cannot grant an innate chance of inflicting Ailments. At least, we haven't found any that can.
  • There's only one Augment that boosts Ailment infliction chance, but it might not be worth building around that.
Additional Ailment Sources

Combat - Enemies
As you progress through the story and especially after you start doing optional content like the Tower of Trials, you'll naturally unlock all of these achievements. Every Realm contains its own factions, but every faction is available in the Tower of Trials.

End the Deep Ones: Defeat 200 Abyssian.

Abyssians are bipedal reptilians (and one naga) that can be found in the Water Realm. Click Explore and you'll see them everywhere.

Pierce the Heavens: Defeat 200 Nyak.

The Nyak look like regular people wearing gold and black armor with red cloth. They are found in the Air Realm. Click Explore and you'll see them everywhere.

Punish the Traitors: Defeat 200 Blacktide.

The Blacktide look like an odd mix between ninjas and knights. They are found in every Realm, in small groups.

Salt the Earth: Defeat 200 Vargul.

Vargul are the rodent-like bipeds. They can be found in the Earth Realm. Click Explore and you'll see them everywhere.

Shatter the Bastions: Defeat 200 Crimson Wind.

The Crimson Wind look like heavily-armored humans and can be found in the Earth Realm.

Smother the Flame: Defeat 200 Flameblood enemies.

The Flameblood can be identified by them looking like cooked barbecue and can be found in the Fire Realm.

Egalitarian: Defeat 75 Elite Enemies.

As far as we've seen, almost any enemy can be an Elite. The best place to farm Elites is in any Tower of Trials. They can be identified by their darker appearance, additional health, and the name having "Elite" in it:

Hunter: Defeat 40 Mid-Bosses.

Mid-Bosses are special enemies that are often the targets of Hunts and other optional objectives as you play. These are NOT Story Bosses! If you like to challenge yourself, the Exalted Tower is by far the best possible place to farm them, as almost every fight has 1-4 Elite Mid-Bosses. Either way, here's a list of Mid-Bosses (at least from what we found through our Tower runs) and where they can be found outside the Towers:
  • Wraith-Lord Decimus: Decimus Hunt in Earth Realm.
  • Falcius Diarch: Falcius Diarch Hunt in Water Realm.
  • Flameblood Abomination: Rekindled Abomination in Fire Realm.
  • Vargul Champion: Infiltrate Vargul Stronghold in Earth Realm.
  • High-Lord Phalanxar: Found in the Earth Realm turotial.
  • Excelsious: Excelsious Hunt in Air Realm.
  • High Lord Makanator: High Lord's Justice in Fire Realm.
  • Black Tide Brute: Sometimes paired with the Black Tide Enforcer in fights.
  • Black Tide Enforcer: Black Tide Enforcer Hunt in Air Realm.
  • Nyak Summoner: Nyak Summoner Hunt in Air Realm.
  • Alpha Rancor: Earth Hunt - Alpha Rancor Hunt in Earth Realm.
  • Sobeku: Sobeku Hunt in Water Realm.
  • Sunflare Ravager: Sunflare Ravager Hunt in Air Realm.
  • Thraex: Thraex Hunt in Water Realm.
Look for the blue diamonds on the map:

Slayer: Defeat 2000 enemies.

The best place to farm tons of enemies is probably the Ascended Tower of Trials, because of its high floor count, Banes that can add additional enemies, and the fact that its Room Trials aren't a boss rush like in the Exalted Tower.
Combat - Skills
If you're ever lost as to what these things mean and how to perform them, the game has several useful systems in place to help:
  • If you visit the Training Area (head up the stairs at Sanctum and head right), your controls will be displayed on the left side as you fight training bots.
  • Menu -> Codex -> Gameplay. This menu provides you with every sort of action you can perform and the controls you need to do it.
Archon of War: Perform 100 Takedowns.

Takedowns can be performed on stunned or vulnerable enemies. You can upgrade your Takedown in the Skills menu:
  1. You can perform a Takedown on small enemies immediately after a Parry.
  2. +5% Takedown damage.
  3. You can perform a Takedown on larger enemies immediately after a Parry if they are below 40% Health.
  4. +10% Takedown damage.
  5. For 30 seconds after defeating an enemy with a Weapon Technique, you can perform a free Spectral Takedown.
If you want to farm these, level Takedowns up to max rank and go Parry everything.

S-Rank Duelist: Hit 200 enemy Weakpoints.

Weakpoints are hidden much of the time, but you can expose them through the use of the Illumina Valorplate, whose Archon Fury highlights enemy Weakpoints.

Additionally there is equipment that can do the same, such as:
  • Dusk Lord's Signet (Ring) and Packhunter's Talon (Polearm) expose enemy Weakpoints upon inflicting an Ailment and make Weapon Techniques inflict Ailments.
  • Winter's Call (Polearm) sends a Water shockwave that exposes Weakpoints when you Soulshatter an enemy.
  • The following items can roll random Primary stats, making it possible for them to get either of the above abilities (or even both?):
    • Cololaba's Legacy (Amulet)
    • Quintessence Blades (Dual Blades)
    • Dread Wraithblade (Greatsword)
    • Blade of Conquest (Longsword)
    • Spear of Fate (Polearm)
    • Maul of the Obsidian Pack (Warhammer)
    • Silvermane's Greathammer
    • Sword of Dominance (Longsword)

Assassin: Perform 40 Deathblows.

Deathblows are hits to an enemy's Weakpoint that kill it. Deathblows can be easy to activate through using any of the above suggestions. Illumina's Archon Fury also deals additional damage to Weakpoints/

Defender: Parry 100 attacks.

You Parry by holding up your shield at the moment just before an enemy's attack lands. You'll know you performed a Parry because you won't take any damage and the enemy will recoil and be left vulnerable for a bit.

If you don't know what your Parry button is, find it in your Controls here:

Deflector: Parry 30 projectiles.

Same deal as above, only you need to do it with projectiles. One of the easiest ways of farming this is to Explore, find a group of enemies with a ranged attacked, kill everyone but that ranged attacker, and just sit some range away to Parry all of its attacks.

Shield Captain: Hit an enemy with Shield Throw 200 times.

To throw your shield at enemies, make sure this circle in the bottom left of your HUD is completely white:

Look at an enemy, hold down the Block button to put up your Shield, and then click your Heavy Attack button. This makes you throw the Shield and hit 1+ enemies with it:

Soul Reaper: Soulshatter 500 enemies.

Soulshattering is done by first using Light attacks and your Northern Technique to apply Soulshatter buildup onto the enemy's health. It'll look like a white overlay on top of their health:

Afterward, perform a Heavy attack or Southern Technique to consume all the buildup and deal Soulshatter damage to the enemy. To properly Soulshatter an enemy, you need to make sure the enemy dies from the Soulshatter consume. It's easiest done by spamming Light attacks on an enemy until all of their remaining health is covered in Soulshatter buildup. Then, Heavy attack and kill them.

Ultimate Warrior: Activate Archon Fury 40 times.

Every Valorplate comes with a unique Archon Fury, and you'll be using your Archon Fury a lot throughout the game. The ability charges at a set rate and can be monitored here on the HUD:

There are ways of boosting the gauge through equipment:
  • Hinterfang (Greatsword) grants Archon Fury charge whenever you Takedown and enemy.
  • Sincerity (Longsword) grants Archon Fury charge whenever you kill an Ailment-afflicted enemy, and makes Weapon Techniques inflict Ailments.
  • Cosmic Aetherstone (Life Stone) boosts Archon Fury charge speed and damage.
  • Ancestral Band (Ring) grants Archon Fury charge and charge speed whenever you hit a Weakpoint.
  • Standard of the Golden Lion (Banner) grants a big boost to Archon Fury charge speed.
  • The following items can roll random Primary stats, making it possible for them to get any of the above abilities:
    • Cololaba's Legacy (Amulet)
    • Quintessence Blades (Dual Blades)
    • Dread Wraithblade (Greatsword)
    • Blade of Conquest (Longsword)
    • Spear of Fate (Polearm)
    • Maul of the Obsidian Pack (Warhammer)
    • Silvermane's Greathammer
    • Sword of Dominance (Longsword)
When this bar is filled, you'll get an obvious notification that your ability is ready:

After that, you just press your Archon Fury button and that's it, you used it. For lazy people, you can just head into any Realm and afk until it charges. Bring the Standard of the Golden Lion Banner to charge it even faster. Since both are on a timer, you can just wait for everything to charge.

For more active people, just stack Archon Fury-boosting equipment and go nuts!

Versatile Warrior: Perform a Polarity Shockwave 100 times.

Polarity shockwaves are the result of fully charging a weapon and swapping to another. Swapping a fully-charged weapon unleashes a shockwave and grants you a 20% weapon damage buff got 30 seconds. The way you charge your weapon will depend on your weapon's requirements, but they all charge from hitting enemies.
Combat - Weapon Techniques
Every class of weapon has two Weapon Techniques- a Northern Technique and a Southern Technique. To activate a Weapon Technique, look to the bottom right of your HUD, to the bar just above your weapon symbol. If none of the segments are bright yellow, do whatever your weapon requires to fill the bar- usually hitting enemies. If at least one segment is bright yellow, you can use a Weapon Technique.

First, hold down whatever button is mapped to "Weapon Technique". While holding the button, perform a Light Attack for the Northern Technique or Heavy Attack for the Southern Technique.

The technique descriptions are going to be simple and no, you can't use the training area to farm these achievements.

Berserker: Perform a Greatsword Weapon Technique 100 times.

Northern Technique - Whirlwind: Move forward while spinning the Greatsword.
Southern Technique- Great Throw: Throw the Greatsword to damage enemies.
It does not matter which technique you use for this achievement.
Greatswords have a 3-segment bar that fills whenever you are hit or hit enemies. Using a Weapon Technique uses up all the bars, but deals additional damage for every bar used.

Dervish: Activate Inner Focus 100 times.

Dual Blades really only have one proper Weapon Technique and a utility move. The charge bar for Dual Blades is predominantly used for Inner Focus- using the Southern Technique to pull enemies toward you does not drain the charge bar.

Inner Focus is the weapon's Northern Technique, and it turns your bar into a timed DPS boost. Once activated, you cannot turn it off, but you can use Southern Techniques freely.
Dual Blades have a 4-segment bar that you fill by hitting enemies, and it steadily drains over time. You'll know that you activated Inner Focus when your gauge transitions from a regular segmented bar to a solid orange one, like shown below:

Dragoon: Perform a Polearm Weapon Technique 100 times.

Northern Technique - Polearm Slam: Jump and slam the Polearm into the ground, dealing damage in a small AOE.
Southern Technique - Javelin Throw: Throw the Polearm to deal damage and blind a target.
It does not matter which technique you use for this achievement.
Polearms have a 2-segment bar that fills over time and by hitting enemies. Activating a Weapon Technique uses 1 bar.

Earthshaker: Perform a Warhammer Weapon Technique 100 times.

Northern Technique - Concussive Smash: Slam the hammer into the ground to deal damage and stun nearby enemies.
Southern Technique - Unstoppable Force: Slam the hammer into the ground to deal damage in a straight line ahead of you.
It does not matter which technique you use for this achievement.
Warhammers have a 2-segment bar that fills over time and by hitting enemies. Activating a Weapon Technique will use up 1 bar.

Sword Saint: Perform a Longsword Weapon Technique 100 times.

Northern Technique - Spectral Flurry: Dash forward and damage an enemy with many slashes.
Southern Technique - Spiral Technique: Slide forward and perform a strong slash, which can be followed up with a Timed Attack if they're unlocked in the Skill Grid.
It does not matter which technique you use for this achievement.
Longswords have 2 bars, one for each technique, that charge independently of one another. They charge over time and by hitting enemies. Using a Weapon Technique will drain its respective bar, but will not use the second one.

Looting
Armor of the Gods: Pick up 30 Valorplate Cores from Fallen Soldiers.

Fallen Soldiers can be found in every Realm and serve as loot sources. They are quite literally fallen soldiers- they're dark bodies on the ground with a glowing orange flame coming off them similar to Motherlodes. They look like this:

Gatherer: Collect from 50 Motherlodes.

Motherlodes are interactables that grant resources. Every Realm has its own unique Motherlode and resource drops (except the Fire Realm), and they're quite common.
Air Realm
Drops:
- Aetheric Filament
- Dragonsteel
Earth Realm
Drops:
- Infused Jasper
- Dragonsteel
Water Realm
Drops:
- Crystalline Tear
- Dragonsteel
Fire Realm
Drops:
- Dragonsteel

Awakening: Pick up a legendary piece of equipment.

Legendary equipment can be found in Legendary chests and as rare drops from other sources such as Mid-Bosses and Story Bosses. The Ascended and Exalted Tower of Trials are great places to farm for Legendary gear. Legendary equipment can be identified by the color of the golden beam and glow emanating from them:

Geared Up: Pick up 5 legendary pieces of equipment.

Same deal as the one above, just keep picking them up. You'll get this naturally as you play. If you don't have this by the end of the story, just use the Ascended Tower of Trials to farm Legendary stuff.

Gold, Silver, and...: Pick up 100,000 electrum.

Electrum is the money of this world. You'll find it in just about every chest and enemy drop. They look like this, with higher quantities taking on other shapes like coins:

Raider: Open 50 chests.

Chests are abundant throughout the Realms and come in a variety of rarities. Explore the world and you should naturally unlock this as you play.

Scavenger: Pick up 250 pieces of equipment.

Equipment is any item that isn't Electrum. As you open chests and kill enemies, you'll see glowing orbs drop as loot- these are what you want. They are Weapons, Rings, Amulets, Charms, Augments, etc. You'll find them naturally as you play, they're everywhere. If you're still in need of loot, consider taking on the Tower of Trials.

Cursed Collector: Pick up 10 Cursed Items.

Cursed Items are some of the rarest in the game and are part of the endgame grind. They are found predominantly in Lightbringer and the Exalted Tower of Trials. Lightbringer offers the best odds of finding Cursed Items of all rarities, but the Exalted Tower guarantees Legendary Cursed Item drops in Cursed Item chests.

You can recognize Cursed Items by the way they move and the black wisps of smoke coming off them. Cursed Items float up higher than any other items, as shown in the screenshot below:

Indiscriminate Looter: Pick up 50 Cursed Items.

You'll naturally get this as you play Lightbringer and/or the Exalted Tower. Your best option for full-time farming is probably Lightbringer, but here's something to help you decide for yourself:
Lightbringer
Pros:
  • Easiest of the two to access- you need to reach level 50.
  • Easier to do than the Exalted Tower.
  • Almost guarantees you'll get Cursed Items by playing.
Cons:
  • The Cursed Items you get will be of varying quality and rarity.
Exalted Tower of Trials
Pros:
  • Has guaranteed Legendary Cursed Item drops in certain chests.
  • The Exalted Tower also contains Primals and dual-Primary Legendaries, making it desirable if you plan on farming endgame loot in general.
Cons:
  • Hardest to access- requires you clear all 30 floors of the Ascended Tower.
  • Harder to do than Lightbringer.
  • You're not guaranteed that you'll find a Cursed Item room during your run.
Quests
Quests are the farthest-right tab in your Menu. Quest Objectives are randomized, so you might not see the same Quest Objectives as shown here:

The bar at the top is the Quest Progress, and filling up the bar completes one Quest and gives you the choice between several items as a reward. The eight squares beneath the bar are Quest Objectives, which you can reroll if you don't want to do. They all grant Primal, Cursed, or regular Mirrors of Duplication, which you can use to select other things from your inventory as Quest rewards.

Small Steps: Complete your first Quest Objective.

For this, you're looking at completing any of the eight Quest Objectives on the page:

As you complete one, you receive its reward (Cursed, Primal, or regular Mirrors of Duplication), it adds progress to the Quest bar above, and a new random Quest Objective takes its place.

Great Deeds: Complete your first legendary Quest Objective.

Legendary Quest Objectives are the golden ones. These are the toughest, requiring the highest level of enemies but granting the greatest rewards and Quest progress:

Great Victories: Complete your tenth legendary Quest Objective.

Legendary Quest Objectives are the golden ones, and you want 10 of them. Some of them can take a while to do, so here are some tips and things to look out for:
  • Level 70+ enemies can be found in Dreamstones, Lightbringer, and the Ascended/Exalted Tower of Trials.
    • In Dreamstones, you need to do side objectives to raise the enemy level (each side objective raises enemy levels by 1).
    • In Lightbringer, enemies will gradually increase in level.
    • In the Ascended Tower, you begin seeing them once you hit floor 11.
  • Anything requiring level 90+ enemies from the Ascended Tower of Trials means you need to reach floor 21 to see them.
It is recommended that, if you have the Electrum for it, you reroll Quest Objectives to attain multiple that can be obtained from the same source- meaning you prioritize things to get as many done in a single run without needing to change your build.

The Road to Greatness: Complete your first Quest.

For this, you want to complete Quest Objectives to fill up the bar at the top:

Every rarity of Quest Objective determines how much progress you get toward the Quest. A single Quest bar has 25 pips, meaning it can be completed in as little as 4 Legendary Quests and a Rare Quest.
  • Legendary Quest: 6 pips.
  • Epic Quest: 3 pips.
  • Rare Quest: 1 pip.
Once it's filled, you complete the Quest, obtain one of three rewards, and begin a new one.

Valorian Hero: Complete your fifth Quest.

You'll get this naturally as you work on Quests.

Valorian Champion: Complete your tenth Quest.

You'll get this naturally as you work on Quests.
Tower of Trials
The normal Tower of Trials gets unlocked as you progress through the story. While it's great for experience, you'll get more for waiting until you beat the game to unlock the Ascended Tower of Trials.

These achievements can be quite difficult, especially alone. If you find you're having a really tough time or just don't want to get good enough to do it alone, try playing with someone else. You have a limited number of revives, so having another player literally doubles your revive capabilities.

We have an additional guide for tackling each Tower of Trials, so if there's anything else you'd want to know about each Tower of Trials and how to best prepare, you can take a look here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2966887512
Rise Up: Reach trial 10 in the Ascended Tower of Trials.

The Ascended Tower of Trials is unlocked upon completing the story. You need 20 Coin of Valor to enter, which can be farmed via various Story, Boss, and Hunt missions, but if you need to farm them we strongly recommend running Dreamstones for the Exalted Air Realm Gauntlet as it gives way more than any other sources in the game. Further details can be found in the Tower of Trials guide above.

This achievement isn't overly difficult if you run the Tower after reaching level 50, but it's more than doable before that point.

Reaching floor 10 of the Ascended Tower also unlocks a dark/light-themed skin for whichever Valorplate you have equipped.

Ascendant: Reach trial 20 in the Ascended Tower of Trials.

This Tower is nearly identical to the normal Tower of Trials, only it has better rewards, higher level enemies (starting at 50, reaching a max of 108), more Elites and Bosses, more floors (30), and they introduce Banes to try and hinder your run.

Reaching floor 20 of the Ascended Tower also unlocks a bright frost/crystal-covered skin for whichever Valorplate you have equipped.
This isn't easy, especially solo. Here are some tips if you're struggling, in no particular order:
  • Try playing with friends. More players equals more help and revives. If you're already playing with friends, tell them to play better.
  • Make sure you're level 50 and that your gear is as upgraded as it can be. Attempting this at a lower level puts you at a much greater disadvantage.
  • The Trials are timed and give better rewards when you complete them quicker, but you should slow down and prioritize survival if things start getting rough- at least until you find some way to turn things around.
  • Pick the toughest/best possible Boon rooms you can in the beginning so you don't need to worry about them as much later on if you're unsure you can take on the challenge.
  • Try a dedicated build, such as a Mesa Poison Consume or Moebius Cursed Stack build, thanks to the nuke potential of some of the Valorplates. This game's several years old now and there are plenty of builds online to choose from.

[Note]: When we played through the Ascended Tower together, I unlocked Ascendant upon reaching the 10th, and unlocked Rise Up in my next run when I hit the 10th floor again. Unsure if this is a co-op issue nor how common it is.

Keymaker: Earn 200 Keys in Tower of Trials.

Don't use the normal Tower to farm this if you have access to later ones! The normal Tower has far fewer floors, less keys to give, no achievements or cosmetics tied to it, and worse loot overall- after level 50 you'll be able to run the Ascended Tower pretty comfortably, so don't waste time early on if this is all you want.

This will unlock naturally as you play the gamemode, but you'll need many runs to get it. Play as quickly as you can to get as many keys as possible. Spending keys doesn't impact this number.
Lightbringer
Lightbringer can appear confusing at first glance, and we aren't covering every detail of the gamemode, so we have additional Lightbringer resources at the end of the guide for anyone who needs them.

Heartbreaker: Complete Lightbringer 1 time.

Lightbringer is unlocked once you reach level 50, and is accessed from its dedicated tab on the Map. It can be a bit complicated, but the basic rundown is as follows:
  1. Begin a mission in one of the four Realms and run to the waypoint.
  2. (Optional): Hit the lightposts along the way to show the path to a Light Cache, which will increase the Light Level (upper left number on your HUD), which increases the chance of getting better loot by the end.
  3. Seal the Dark Tear by completing a short objective at the destination.
  4. Pick a Curse, grab your loot.
  5. Escort the light back to the Amplifier (spawn).
  6. Rinse and repeat, or leave to complete the mission quickly.
Doing this process completely and leaving will count as completing Lightbringer 1 time.

Lightbringer: Complete Lightbringer 10 times.

You'll get this naturally if you play the gamemode a lot, but for those who want to do this quickly, then you just rush everything by ignoring all optional objectives, starting the Amplifier after sealing one Dark Tear, and leaving.

Struggling Against the Darkness: Complete Lightbringer with 3 curses applied.

To obtain Curses, you need to seal 3 Dark Tears in one run. Whenever you seal a Dark Tear, a blue/black orb appears and interacting with it will let you select one of many different Curses, which will debuff you for the rest of the game. The list will get bigger as you salvage Cursed items, but if you want an easier time with this achievement then just select whichever Curses are the easiest to work with.

Literally Hell on Earth
Need that Light: Open 200 Light chests.

To the devs who made this achievement, who hurt you? Did your significant other leave you or something? This took over 3 hours of dedicated farming to finish, after doing everything else in the game.
All the other achievements in this game are fair, pretty fun, and make sense. Anyways. You only need 45 or 60 caches in order to unlock Shards, all the rest are an optional grind that will take ages even if you play Lightbringer normally. If you aren't going to be playing Lightbringer on the regular, here's the worst grind you can do to get the rest, which sadly still seems faster than just playing the gamemode normally:
  1. Go into Earth Realm Lightbringer.
  2. When you spawn, there are three paths to pick- two in front of you, and one to your right. Check where the objective marker is, as it will show up the moment you spawn in.
  3. If the marker is in either the left or middle door, run toward it. If it's in the right door, don't go for it unless it's a really short distance (250-350m). If it's in the right path but further away, quit and restart the mission. The right path is a straight line and is pretty punishing if a cache spawns near the end of it or on the other side of the wall.
  4. Head directly toward beacons and ignore all enemies. If the objective is further than 350 meters away when you get to the first beacon, you can just run past it and go to the next furthest beacon.
  5. If the first beacon doesn't light up, keep running in the direction of the objective (unless the objective is in the far left of the map, in which case you try to stick to the inside). The cache usually spawns on the way to the objective, although I've had many times where it hasn't and none of the beacons lit up along the way.
  6. As soon as a beacon lights up yellow, head in the direction of the ray of light. Ignore all enemies and beacons and just keep going in that one direction, you'll eventually find it.
  7. Once you find the cache, defeat the enemies and open it. Quit the mission as soon as you do- you do NOT need to finish the mission for caches to count for the score! Rinse and repeat.
Disclaimer: This may not be the most efficient way of hunting caches, as we didn't test the other realms. With a fast computer, you're looking at anywhere between 40-80 seconds per cache, with about an average of 70 seconds per run, excluding the occasional poor spawn. This method nets you 20 caches in 20-30 minutes- considering a regular run of sealing 3 Dark Tears while hunting every cache can take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes (if you abandon the final fight), this looks to be about as optimal as it'll get.

Be warned, this method is NOT fun and isn't recommended to anyone unless you just want this achievement and are willing to sit there and grind for several hours.
Conclusion and Resources
We're not sure why you checked out this guide, but thank you for doing so, even if this guide is a bit redundant for a game like this. It was made more for fun than anything else, but if it helped someone then it's definitely worth it. Hella fun game.
